Dr. Andy was born and raised in Old Hickory, TN and is a graduate of Martin Luther King. Jr. Magnet High School in Nashville where he developed a passion for math and science which led him to pursue a career in healthcare. Dr. Reed continued his education at the Methodist-affiliated Lambuth University in Jackson, TN. There he majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry, Environmental Science, and General Business. He was a University Honors graduate and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity where he served in several leadership roles. Dr. Reed pursued his dental degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and graduated from there in 2008 with the Award for Excellence from the University of Tennessee Pediatric Dental Alumni Association. After completing dental school, Dr. Reed completed a General Practice Residency in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the Childrens Physicians Hospital where he received advanced training in sedation, hospital dentistry, and caring for both medically compromised and special needs children. Dr. Reed then earned his certification as a pediatric dentist by completing a pediatric residency at Virginia Commonwealth University on the universitys Medical College campus. Dr. Reed served as the Chief Resident in his final year of training at VCU.

Dr. Reed elected to return home to Middle Tennessee and open his private practice in September of 2011. Dr. Reed is actively involved in numerous professional and civic organizations in the city of Gallatin and Sumner County. He is a 2014 graduate of the Leadership Sumner Program, the Sheriffs Citizens Academy and is involved in many Chamber of Commerce activities. Dr. Reed has served on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Sumner Alumni Association, HomeSafe, and the Gallatin Little League. He is a member of the Gallatin Noon Rotary Club, the Gallatin Evening Rotary Satellite Club and the Young Professionals group in Gallatin.

Dr. Reed is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the Tennessee Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Tennessee Dental Association. He has recently joined the International Association of Tongue-Tie Professionals and earned his laser certification from the American Laser Study Club.

Dr. Andy is married to his college sweetheart, Rachel. They have two sons, James Thomas and Jacob Grayson. The Reed family resides in Gallatin and enjoys spending time with their friends and extended family. They are members of Gallatin First United Methodist Church. The Reed family can often be found at the ball field cheering on their two favorite athletes or at one of the professional or collegiate fields following numerous sports teams including: the Red Sox, the Titans, and the Preds. However, at the end of the day, their blood runneth orange. They are all avid fans and supporters of any University of Tennessee athletics program. Go Big Orange!

Brittany has been with this practice since the day we opened. She is a middle Tennessee native, born and raised in Hendersonville, TN. She has several years of experience as a dental assistant in pediatric dentistry. Her positive attitude and bubbly personality help make children feel more at ease while visiting our office. Brittany attended Remington College where she earned her dental assisting certificate. She is an expanded function trained dental assistant and assists our doctors in restoring childrens smiles. Brittany is also credentialed to assist with our surgical cases at Sumner Regional Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She wears many hats in our office and there is never a task too big or small for her to help with. If you have been to Sumner Pediatric Dentistry, then you know how special she is. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and can always be found cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers and cuddling with her basset hound puppies.

Carolina was born and raised in Guanajuato, Mexico until she was seven years old when her family emigrated to Gallatin and made Middle Tennessee their home. Carolina graduated from Gallatin High School and has been working in healthcare since that time. Carolina joined the CDG family in 2013 as a member of our sterilization team. She ensures that we are ready to care for our patients with everything we need. She also helps our office communicate effectively with our Spanish-speaking families. Carolina is very close with her family, especially her two little brothers. She loves to read, play a little piano, and spend time with family and friends.

Jenifer was born in Virginia and raised across the entire nation due to a Navy Corpsman dad. She is the third child in a family of 8 children. She is 2004 graduate of Gallatin HS and graduated in 2005 from Remington College with a 4.0 She is a mother of three beautiful children, Taryn, Elizabeth, and Lucas II. and has been with her husband, Lucas, for over 16 years. In her spare time she can be found at the softball field watching her two daughters play softball, running her custom vinyl work business with her husband, or at church serving in the childrens ministry. Lucas and Jenifer have been first grade Sunday school teachers for the past two years at Cornerstone and will be for as long as God calls them to do so.

Tania pulls double duty as a clinical dental assistant AND works as a patient care coordinator with our administrative team. She recently graduated from Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Nashville. She has two dogs whom she loves: Lady and Fluffy! She enjoys the outdoors and gardening. She also enjoys spending time with her family and being an active member of her church as a Jehovahs Witness. She was born and raised in California, but her family relocated and Tania is now a proud member of the Sumner county community. She enjoys working with the wonderful children in our office and being a part of the Sumner Pediatric Dentistry family!

Megan Ford comes to us from Memphis TN. She graduated from Briarcrest Christian High School in 2008 and later graduated from Concorde Career College in 2012 where she earned an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene. Megan has experience in both general and pediatric dentistry. She loves working with children and is passionate about the importance of learning about oral health at an early age. Her goal is to make the dentist fun and not so scary! Megan married her best friend in June of 2016. They enjoy spending time together outdoors, hunting, fishing and running.

Brittney joined the SPD team in March of 2016 and hit the ground running. She enjoys taking care of our patient family on the clinical side, but is also engaged in marketing the practice to the community by serving as our Social Media and Marketing Coordinator. She is a native of Middle Tennessee, growing up as child in nearby Murfreesboro. She obtained her associates degree from Motlow State and enrolled in the dental hygiene program at Remington College in Nashville. While at Remington she was on the Presidents Honor Roll and served as President of the Student Association. She furthered her knowledge in the field of dental hygiene by earning her Bachelors Degree from Tennessee State University in May of 2016. Brittney has many hobbies that include fishing, hunting, cooking, and she also loves to craft. Can you say Pinterest Princess? She is happily married to her husband Josh, and is a proud mother to her son, Fisher. You can always catch her spending time with her family and friends! She is always personable and outgoing. Her self-proclaimed weakness is macaroni and cheese.

Katie graduated from Dental Staff School of Franklin in 2012 and has been a registered dental assistant since May 2012. She joined our team in 2012 as a hygiene assistant and has earned her coronal polishing and sealant certifications. Katie took a few years away from our practice and worked in general dentistry at a family oriented practice, but Katie found she has always had a passion being with children. She rejoined the SPD family in 2019 and has picked right back up where she left off. Katie is happily married to Daniel and they have one son, Oliver. She enjoys, spending her personal time with her family, shopping, and pretty much doing anything outdoors.

Kaitlyn is a registered dental assistant with coronal polishing and sealant certifications. She was born and raised as an Army brat moving all over the United States and has even lived overseas. She and her family have now called Tennessee home ever since 2009. Kaitlyn graduated from Beech High school in 2016 and attended Volunteer State Community College after completing high school. She then found her career and went on to dental assisting school at Dental Staff School of Tennessee in the summer of 2018. When not working around the office, Kaitlyn enjoys spending her personal time with her friends and family. She also enjoys traveling and reading.

Megan Bennett came to SPD in 2017. She was born and raised in Herrin, Illinois and relocated to Gallatin in 2016. She has been working in the dental field since 2010, taking a special interest in helping families understand their dental insurance benefits. Megan is happily married to her husband Nathan. They have a daughter, Rachel and a mini dachshund, Roxie. Megan is a vocalist in the praise band at Northfield Church. She is also a licensed cosmetologist. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, photography, and cooking.

Evelyn was born in the Dominican Republic, but moved with her family to the Bronx when she was very young. She relocated with her family to Gallatin at age twelve and is a graduate of Gallatin High School. She attended Tennessee Tech University where she began studying in the pre-med curriculum and also studied child psychology. Evelyn works in our business office, and her systematic diligence helps ensure that we are following up on every detail from the time you walk into our office to the time that you leave. Her command of both English and Spanish helps to put both parents and children at ease. She is a proud mother of a wonderful two year old little boy, Alexis. She enjoys salsa dancing, cars and spending time with her family, especially her son.

Kerri joined our practice in 2017. Her bubbly personality and bright smile make her the perfect fit for Patient Care Coordinator at our front desk. Kerri is originally from Alabama and attended the University of Alabama. She relocated to Nashville from Chicago in 2006, and has proudly been calling middle Tennessee her home ever since. She enjoys spending time with her long-term boyfriend Kyle and their two Weimaraners, Elly and Hurley. Her hobbies include golf, traveling, and shouting Roll Tide! Shes also skilled at planning the perfectly themed party, especially around the holidays.

Rachel is the marketing coordinator and accounting manager for Sumner Pediatric Dentistry. When she is not managing that aspect of the practice she is taking care of the behind the scenes tasks that have to be done outside of direct patient care. She is married to Dr. Andy and is the mother to their two sons, JT and Jake. When she is outside of the practice she enjoys working out, reading, and caring for her three children, especially Dr. Andy. Rachel has a background in education and has earned her Bachelor of Arts from Lambuth University and her Masters Degree from the University of Memphis. She also has obtained her +30 and an ESL endorsement and enjoys teaching English language learners in the elementary school setting. Rachel has previously taught in underserved schools in Memphis, TN, Oklahoma City, OK, Richmond, VA, and in Robertson County in Tennessee.
