We allow use of your phone for any distractions that help relax you. Patients often comment on how relaxing we make the environment in our office! And it certainly helps that Dr. Vaziri has such a calm demeanor that will immediately put you at ease. She is also a Reiki Master and can help relax you as well. We also can prescribe medications that can help you during your visit.
We have always practiced in compliance with CDC guidelines for dental practices and continue to stay up to date with all of the recommendations to keep all of us safe. We all live with pathogens every single day and this is nothing new to dental offices. Our infection control protocols are and always have been strictly followed. It remains our top priority! We have separate treatment rooms, separate exits and patients are seen one at a time.

My primary goal in my practice is to provide a relaxing environment where my patient can express their dental concerns and feel a level of trust and comfort that they are in good hands. Dental treatment can be very stressful and I am aware of the anxiety it can provoke. Secondly, as my practice has evolved and new techniques and ideas in dentistry have been developed, I incorporate a minimally invasive approach to dental treatment. Many of the dental treatment philosophies weve had in the past are shifting to the conservation of as much tooth structure as possible due to the advanced materials and techniques that are now available. Biomimetic means to mimic nature. Biomimetic dentistry is a new field of practice that not every dentist is trained to perform. Our materials and advanced adhesive techniques allow for this shift to mimic nature without removing as much natural tooth as we have in the past and even being able to avoid the need for a root canal. Microdentistry is the practice of detecting decay as early as possible and preparing very small areas of the tooth to restore it back to health. My goal is to always preserve as much of your tooth as possible and end the decay cycle of decay-root canal-crown-extraction.
In addition, there is growing scientific evidence that indicates that the status of our physical health is a result of our mental and emotional beliefs. I approach dental health from a multidimensional perspective because each one of us is a vast bioenergetic field of energy. I am passionate about Reiki energy healing and as a Reiki Master, I offer this treatment modality to my patients and educate them on the influence that quantum physics principles have on our lives and our health!
Although I am trained as a dentist, I learned early on in my career that there is an energy around us that we are constantly interacting with. In fact, when I was a child I remember being aware that I was more than a physical body, and that I can feel my energy field and the energies of the people around me. I learned how to use this and apply it to my life when I started practicing Dahn Yoga while I was living in the Boston area. This type of yoga aims to balance energy in your body. This has led me to study energy medicine and how it affects us as human beings. I believe that we have more power over our health, including our dental health than we would like to realize! I combine Eastern medicine with western medicine for optimal outcomes for the patient. Alternative, natural, holistic are words you can use to describe my approach but my goal is to treat dental conditions as minimally as possible and empower you to take an active role in your dental health as well as your overall health!
In my free time, I enjoy being out in nature, spending time with family, reading, painting, arts and crafts and decorating. I also enjoy live performance and music. My other hobbies include collecting and learning about crystals, tarot, intuitive medicine and the metaphysical universe. I study Quantum Physics as a hobby as well. I study the work of David Hawkins MD, Gregg Braden PhD, and Dr. Bruce Lipton and Dolores Cannon among others. Ask me to pull some cards for you, I would love to!
Dr. Mariam Vaziri completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Rutgers University in 1994. She went on to earn her DMD degree at University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in 1999 where she was also inducted into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontics Honor Society for her high academic achievements. She continued her dental education by completing a General Practice Residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. She practiced north of Boston for 12 years before she relocated back to NJ in 2012 to open her practice. She is also an Usui Reiki Masterand has training in Medical Intuition from the Integrative Energy Medicine Institute. She continues to study energy medicine. She offers Reiki sessions as well as Reiki as part of your dental cleaning. Dr. Vaziri holds continuing education as top priority to bring her patients the best care possible. She has earned Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry, which is an honor only achieved by 7% of dentists!
