Dr. Mark knew from a very young age he wanted to be a Dentist. He is a lifelong hometown boy, who began his education at Western Schools in Jackson, continued on to Spring Arbor University, and completed his DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy. Time flies when you are having fun, and Dr. McFerran is still very passionate about providing dental care to the greater Jackson community now for over 30 years.
At Summit Pointe Dental, Dr. Mark and his team pay special attention to providing comprehensive dental care in an environment that is comfortable, friendly, and state of the art. Continuing education is a regular part of the culture so that we can provide patients with the best clinical care.
Dr. Mark is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Jackson District Dental Association, and the Jackson Dental Study Club. He has served as past president of the Jackson District Dental Association and has been dedicated to being an active member of our local community. He has enjoyed various volunteer endeavors over the years, many of which have included mentoring and coaching students of various ages. He also enjoys traveling to third-world countries, having gone to Nigeria, Honduras, Haiti, and Mexico. Dr. Mark counts it a privilege to serve the underserved.
For over 30 years, Dr. Mark has been married to his partner in life and business, Victoria. Together they have raised three children. These days, you will find Dr. Mark most interested in his growing family. Papa Mark is his favorite title, as his children are married and in their own careers. Baby showers are whats on deck, having made it successfully past the graduation stage. If you want to see pictures? Just ask!!!

Dr. McFerran is very reachable and caring. The whole staff bends over backwards to get you in for treatment when you have a dental problem. All the staff are friendly and competent. Dr McFerran has the most gentle hands. What more can I say?!

I took my 98 year old Dad here. The staff were very understanding and caring. Dr Mark respected my Dad's situation and made appropriate recommendations based on what he would do for his Dad. Highly recommend this dental group

Dr. McFerran is an excellent dentist. His dental hygienists are very friendly, knowledgeable and do a good job. The office staff is efficient, courteous and very hospitable. I highly recommend Summit Pointe for dental care.
