Dr. James Thompson is a third-generation orthodontist, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, who have served their communities combined for more than 70 years. He is honored to carry on their legacy. His mission is to continue to serve his community and to transform lives by creating beautiful smiles.
Dr. Thompson successfully completed the Orthodontics graduate program from Indiana University School of Dentistry, earning his Master of Science in Dentistry (M.S.D.). He has conducted research in the field of orthodontic bio-mechanical sciences.

My experience at Summit Orthodontics was a positive one. Dr Thompson and his staff are very kind and have integrity. I went in to get impressions for new retainers and Dr Thompson was honest with me and told me that my current retainers are still working. I highly recommend Summit Orthodontics.

I have severe anxiety for any oral care I deal with. I was very comfortable with the entire office and staff from the beginning of my consultation. I felt like my goals mattered instead of just being another patient who gave them money. So far I'm very happy with my braces and most importantly, I feel confident in Dr.Thompsons care. Would recommend anyone to come here!

I've been going here for a while now and all of the worker here are kind and helpful. When they are working in your mouth they are so gentle and make it so you don't feel a lot of pain. I feel that this is one of the best orthodontist offices in the area. If you were to get braces this is the best place you can go to with their amazing employees and great tools and their variety of band colors. Getting my braces here was the easier thing comparing it to what I thought getting braces would be painful wasn't thanks to Summit orthodontist. If your getting braces go here they are the best! Dr. Thompson and his staff are some of the sweetest people I have ever met! From the second you walk in, everyone greets you with warmth. My daughter actually looked forward to going to her appointments - which is saying a lot!! My daughter sucked her fingers until age 9 and to say her mouth was a mess is an understatement! Dr Thompson has done a wonderful job getting her teeth to where they should be! I cannot say enough great things about him or the staff and the personal relationships they build with their patients - truly the BEST!!
