The most common reason to have your wisdom teeth removed is simply the lack of space in the mouth.The extraction of wisdom teeth is necessary when they are prevented from properly erupting within the mouth.
Dr. Egbert is a native of Utah and was excited when the opportunity presented itself for him and his family to return home. Dr. Egbert graduated from Brighton High School and attended the University of Utah earning a degree in Medical Biology. Dr. Egbert then completed his dental training at the University of Utah Medical Center and then Creighton University receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
He then began is Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin, Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee VA Medical Center. There he not only received thorough training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery but also, internal medicine, emergency medicine, general anesthesia, trauma surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery, and plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Egberts training had an emphasis on dento-alveolar (teeth) surgery, implant dentistry, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, oral pathology (diseases of the face and mouth), TMJ surgery and facial pain, general anesthesia, surgical correction of obstructive sleep apnea,as will as trauma and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Egbert is also trained in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), advanced trauma life support (ATLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS).

I was scheduled to have two impacted teeth extracted on the advice of an orthodontist. During the pre-surgical consultation, Dr. Egbert looked at the x-rays and told me that he didn't recommend surgery after all due to the risk factors. I was pleasantly surprised at this outcome; it's rare to find a doctor who is so up front about options that don't involve an expensive treatment. Dr. Egbert clearly had my best interests in mind, and I will absolutely choose this office again if my family needs oral surgery!

Dr Egbert was helpful. He spoke with my son and made him comfortable before the procedure. Would definitely recommend for wisdom teeth extraction.

The doctor is really nice. But dealing with anyone else in the office it horrible!!! I called about some insurance questions for 6 months and never received a call back! Then got a call from the hospital and had a surgery scheduled and I had no idea about it!

Took my son there today to get 2 wisdom teeth pulled. He is only 12 years old. Dr. Egbert was very knowledgeable and confident in what he was doing, so much that my son wasn't too nervous. The anesthesiologist and the staff were extremely helpful.

My son had a procedure done here by Dr. Egbert. They where very professional, kind and efficient. They handled everything with such knowledge and experience. I even got a phone call that evening from the doctor personally to make sure he was recovering well and to answer any questions I had. I will be sending everyone their way!!!

Best experience I have ever had!! They got me in super quick, with an emergency extraction. Then Dr. Egbert eased all my nerves, talked me through everything. Had the tooth out so quick, I had to question that it was actually over with. Will definitely be go back for any other extractions I may have to have!

Best oral surgeons ever! They've removed wisdom teeth for 3 of my 4 children. Best experience ever. I only wish I would have known about them for the first one. Night and day difference between the two experiences. Our family will never go anywhere else.
