Dr. Rick Harvey stumbled upon the dental field after taking a skills assessment in college. In his words, the more I observed dentists in my hometown, the more I fell in love with the profession. I was amazed by the dentists ability to help make a difficult situation more pleasant for the patient.

Dr. Harvey earned a dual degree from Utah State University in 1999, majoring in spanish and liberal arts & sciences. He was then awarded the US Navys Health Professions Scholarship and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Hes still a Buckeye through and through. Dr. Harvey began his career in 2003 and spent over 4 years serving the men and women of the US military who were stationed in California and aboard the USS New Orleans.

Dr. Harvey and his wife Crista stay busy with their four children and are active in their church. When he has free time he enjoys listening to music, going to the theater, and playing or watching basketball. Dr. Harvey has been nationally recognized for his accomplishments in dentistry and as a small business owner.

Dr. Kara Arceneaux is our Clinical Director and is happy to be serving the Summit Family Dentistry Patients! She completed her Bachelor of Science from Morehead State University in May of 2015 and Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in May of 2020. She chose to go into the dental field because dentistry is the perfect combination of science, art, and human interaction! Dentists have the opportunity to relieve pain, prevent disease, improve esthetics and self-confidence while getting to know our amazing patients!

Dr. Arceneaux is currently engaged and has a shepherd-mix rescue dog! In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors and choosing activities that allow her to enjoy nature such as camping and hiking. She also enjoys music and photography. Her friends would describe her as a fierce advocate, loyal friend, thoughtful teammate, avid learner, and someone who will put others before herself in the interest of the common good.

Dr. William Gillum is a great addition to the Summit Family Dentistry team. Before choosing to be a dentist, he was an oral surgeon assistant for four years and fell in love with dentistry and decided it is what he wants to do for the rest of his life. He enjoys the balance between clinical procedures, chairside interaction with his patients, and being a team leader. His friends would describe him as funny, humble, and chill, which is a great mix to make patients feel comfortable around him! He received his degrees from Texas State University with Bachelors of Science in Microbiology, and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.

He is originally from Fort Worth Texas, but is happy to be practicing dentistry in Colorado and is passionate about showing people the best experience possible, in dentistry or in other walks of life. In his free time, he enjoys volleyball, skiing, guitar, hiking, and cooking. You may see him biking green mountain in the summer or skiing backcountry in the winter!

Kalin has been a registered Hygienist for over 6 years, and is a rockstar at patient care. She earned her Bachelors of Dental Hygiene and Research at St. Petersburg College, St. Petersburg, Florida and is certified in Soft tissue diode laser and Nitrous. In 2016, she was the Colorado Springs ADHA President and is currently an ADHA delegate for Jefferson County.

Kalin is married and has three teenagers, one cat, and a Pomeranian puppy coming in December 2021. She loves spending time with her family, being outdoors, traveling, and trying new places to eat. She is a laid back, carefree, organized go-getter who loves to laugh and is fantastic with patients! She chose to be a hygienist to have the ability to be a financially-independent woman and mother, and ended up falling in love with what she gets to do and the relationships she gets to build with patients; It was a win-win!

Kasandra is excited to be a part of the team as our Hygienist! She has been practicing for 9 years and is well-versed in many aspects of a dental office including administrative work, dental assisting, and of course, dental hygiene! Before joining the team, she has worked with dental specialists such as oral surgery and periodontics.

She is a Colorado native and in her free time, enjoys hiking, going to the gym, trying new food, shopping, and traveling to name a few! Kasandra is married and has two dogs! She looks forward to seeing you in the office and partnering with you to improve your oral health!
