I am Dr. Joshua Smith. I grew up in Great Falls, MT and attended University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, graduating with honors in 2007. I then practiced as a general dentist for four years in Arizona and New Mexico. As a general dentist, I enjoyed performing root canal therapy enough to move my family across the country and complete an endodontic residency in Boston, MA at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In 2014, upon completing my training, I brought my wife and four kids back west where we belong. Now that I am finally done with my schooling, we look forward to taking our kids skiing, fishing and all the other outdoor activities that make Utah such a great place to live.
Needing a root canal is traumatic for most anyone. The most rewarding aspect endodontics is for me to provide this treatment and upon completion having the patient say, That was not so bad. My patients are then able to achieve relief from the pain they may be experiencing, keep a tooth that would otherwise be lost, and do so in a comfortable manner.

I received Outstanding care here!! Megan at the front desk was really friendly and totally on here game! Dr. Smith explained everything as he was doing it which was super awesome because I have a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). Both Dr. Smith and his assistant Shelley were awesome! I am super glad the VA sent me here!! Best root canal service I have ever received in my life so thank you guys I really appreciated it!!

Dr Smith and his staff are excellent in every way. I Went in on short notice (out here for vacation) in severe pain and they were fast, super efficient and very thorough. Absolutely would recommend him 100%. very knowledgeable and they were very accommodating. Earned the 5 stars !

I am very grateful to Dr. Smith. I contacted his office while I was traveling abroad, and he arranged to see me as soon as I returned to Utah. He is professional, competent and kind. My treatment experience was efficient and pain-free. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

They got me in on the date I request. Which was great. Dr Smith was excellent and did a wonderful job. Root canals are an awful things to have but him and his staff put me at ease and I was so happy after it was over and my tooth ache was gone.

Dr Smith is a master. I'd never had a root canal so I was very nervous but Dr Smith totally put me at ease. When he deadened the area I barely even feel it and he did an amazing job on the actual root canal. I highly recommend him!

The doctor & hygienist were excellent. I've had 4 other roots canals, and this one was the least painful. I found the billing department to be a bit curt, otherwise my experience was 5 stars.

The office was great. Doctor was great! Procedure was smooth. Doctor was super responsive and called me right back when I was having swelling and needed relief! Hope I don't have to have another root canal, but if I do this is the place I will return!

Had a recent root canal, Easy to schedule, no waiting in the waiting room for my appointment. Dr Smith was easy to talk to regarding the procedure. Very painless shots. Billing staff Megan was efficient and let me know what my portion would be at the time of service. Assistant Shelly was very knowledgeable and efficient. I would have no hesitation to return for any further root canals.

This is the endodontic place for you to go! Dr. Joshua Smith's diagnosis that my tooth was fractured, probably down into the root, was spot on, as confirmed later when the tooth was extracted by a dental surgeon. Also, the professional staff went out of their way to find a quick referral dental surgeon to extract my tooth, calling to find an appointment within 48 hours, forwarding all relevant information, and comforting me through all. Dr. Smith and his staff are trustworthy service people who give their profession all the praise!
