Dr. Evans received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology (with honors) from the University of California, Riverside. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry. During his time at Georgetown, he received a Summer Research Fellowship for work in microbiology, was active on the dental schools Curriculum Committee, and received an Oral Cancer Societys Fellowship to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr. Evans treated patients in his Fallbrook office from 1984 to 2004 and in Murrieta until 2005. In 2005 he was asked to join a group practice with two excellent dentists, Dr. Peter Shaw and Dr. Mark Jankowski. He worked with them until he purchased Summit Dental of La Mesa in 2011. He was appointed to the UCLA School of Dentistry faculty in 1998 as a part-time faculty member.

Dr. Evans has a strong interest in treating sleep and TMJ disorders, and has opened San Diego Therapy for Sleep and TMJ Disorders. When his kids were younger he enjoyed coaching baseball, basketball and football. Despite their past record, Dr. Evans has been an avid fan of the San Diego Padres and Chargers. He is married to Patricia DeLong, a registered dental hygienist. They have a blended family of three daughters, two sons, one daughter-in-law, two sons-in-law and two grandsons.

Dr. Christine Allen grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Johns Hopkins University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Dental School. In dental school, she was a member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society and the Gorgas Odontological Honorary Society. She also participated in a dental externship at the Osaka University Graduate School of Dentistry in Japan. She then moved to San Diego to obtain advanced training through a general practice residency at the VA Hospital in La Jolla. She continues to stay up to date with the latest in dental technologies and developments by attending numerous continuing education courses so that she can provide the highest quality dental care for her patients.

Dr. Bethany Englund grew up in Seattle, WA. She attended the University of Washington where she received her degrees in Molecular Biology and English literature. She later made her way to California where she received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California. While in school, she was a member of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity and went on several dental missions with the organization.

Since graduating, she has practiced dentistry in both California and on Oahu, Hawaii. She continues to stay up to date on current dental procedures and technologies through continuing education courses and focuses a large portion of her post degree education on patient anxiety and fear management. Doctor Englund firmly believes that dentistry should be a pleasant, stress free experience.

Sara is a patient coordinator for Summit Dental of La Mesa and has been a member of our team for almost six years. Sara loves working with our wonderful patients and making them feel like they are a part of the family. She works hard to give excellent customer service and make sure that each patient is comfortable and happy during their visit. Sara has two young children and loves working with her family. In her free time, she enjoys dancing and spending time with her family.

Patty graduated from hygiene school in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1992. She moved with her daughters to San Diego in 2003. She loves living here but still visits family in Minnesota often. Patty really enjoys her career in dentistry and working with her family.

Our dental assistants help to keep our office running smoothly. This includes making sure that everything in the treatment room is ready for your visit, and that our office remains clean and sanitized for your safety.

Kim is a dental assistant who left the retail world after 14 years, and she could not be happier. She loves being a part of such a close-knit office. She is very family-oriented, which makes being a part of the office such an amazing place. Kim joined the Summit Dental family in December 2018. She is constantly learning and growing.In her free time, Kim loves to be with her two kids, a daughter and son. Her daughter is a girly girl who loves to get her nails done and go shopping with her mom. Kims son is an active athlete, and she loves watching him play baseball. If shes not at work or at home, you can always find her at a baseball field.

Alkiarys, known to everyone as Kiary, is a dental assistant from upstate New York. She is a Navy Vet as well as a hardworking mother and wife. She loves going on hikes and random road trips with her family. Kiary is sassy with a big heart and proud to be a part of the Summit Dental family.

Honestly the staff is amazing, the dentist is incredible and you could not ask for more. I come an hour and a half for them because they are worth it. Ran into them from my employer approved dentist list. No referral and I was so scared of the gamble but I am not grateful and pass this wisdom forward!!!

I had an excellent experience and loved everyone there! They all made me feel like I had been a patient for years, when it was my first time there. Dr. Krasne is the best! For once in 2 years I can eat with no pain on my left side. I am a forever loyal customer now. I highly recommend them!
