Our comprehensive approach is focused on the overall health of the mouth and surrounding structures. This includes diagnosing & treating your dental health (such as cavities and gum disease), the structure of your teeth (cracked or fractured teeth, damaged or worn fillings), functionality (TMJ concerns, facial pain, sleep apnea) and the beauty of your teeth (bleaching, veneers, Invisalign clear braces). Your teeth and oral hygiene play not only a critical role in your physical health, but is also a major contributor to the overall impression we make on others.
Dr. Misty Williams is a graduate of the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry. Upon graduation she began working at the Community Health Center of Central Missouri in Jefferson City, where she became the Dental Director within her first year of working there. After moving to Centralia in 2017, Dr. Williams wanted to be closer to home and her family. In March of 2019 she purchased and renamed Summit Dental. The definition of Summit is the topmost level attainable. Dr. Williams strives to achieve this every day with her patients.
In her spare time, Dr. Williams enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 children: Charlotte, and twins, John and Abigail. She also enjoys reading, traveling and spending time outdoors on their farm.
Danielle is our superwoman hygienist. If you need your teeth cleaned she will come to your aid and take care of any hygiene needs you desire. She has been in the dental field for 7 years and has been providing care to the Columbia area since November 2013. She graduated from Missouri College in 2012 where she completed her Dental Hygiene Degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Rachel Merriott is the soul to our office; everyone knows her and everyone loves her. She has worked as a dental assistant for 25 years and continues to be the smiling face and jokester of Summit Dental. Rachel graduated from Southern Boone High School, knowing she wanted to help people. With that and her desire to work in the medical and dental care fields, she put on her scrubs and was a nurse until she found her home at Summit Dental and we are so happy we have her. Rachel prides herself on giving the best dental advice and help she possibly can and treats all her patients like family.
Rachel currently lives in Ashland with her husband Roy, daughter Gracyn and their 3 dogs Maggie, Bella, and Percy. Rachel enjoys family time, being outdoors, flower gardening, reading, and watching her daughter on the golf course.
Meredith is the newest member of our team, but she is not new to the dental field, and has worked with Dr. Williams since 2017. Meredith has worked tirelessly to learn about dentistry and has done extra coursework to become an expanded function dental assistant in many aspects of dentistry.
Merediths smile will greet you when you arrive at Summit Dental. She will be here to help guide you in your dental journey. She will assist you with your dental insurance plans, work with your plans to pre-authorize treatment and get the most out of your dental plan. If you dont have dental insurance she will work with you to find the most affordable options for you and your family. Outside of the office, Meredith is a master in the artistry of makeup and she loves making people look beautiful for weddings and other special events. She has two fur babies at home, one dog and one cat, who she loves more than anything.
