When looking for a new dentist, you should evaluate their qualifications and experience. All of our dentists at Summit Dental Care have gone through extensive education and continue their training to stay current with the latest and best dental practices.
Generally, a good at-home oral hygiene routine consists of brushing your teeth twice a day, flossing daily, and rinsing between meals. We recommend using a soft-bristled toothbrush because hard bristles can cause damage to your teeth and gums.
Dr. Barfuss, his wife, (Heidi) and their five children have lived in Twin Falls and been a part of the community since 2005. He loves the people of the Magic Valley and enjoys serving them. Dr. Barfuss did his undergraduate work at Ricks College and Idaho State University. He then went on to the University of Iowa for dental school. Since 2005, Dr. Barfuss has continued to learn and strive to provide great dentistry and a great experience for his patients. Dr. Barfuss desires to make a difference in peoples lives any way that he can. Outside of the office, Dr. Barfuss and his family enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, church service and being part of a great community.
Dr. Permann grew up in Rockland, Idaho, and moved to Twin Falls in the summer of 2012. He thoroughly enjoys being a team member at Summit Dental Care and loves serving the people of the Twin Falls area. Dr. Permann enjoys forming professional relationships with patients and helping in the journey of improving their overall health and smile!
Prior to joining the team at Summit Dental Care, Dr. Permann attended BYU-Idaho for his undergraduate studies. He then graduated summa cum laude from the Ohio State University School of Dentistry. Go Buckeyes! Before his return to the great state of Idaho, he practiced dentistry in the Amarillo, Texas, area. He is accompanied by his wonderful wife, Melanie, and their five boys and one beautiful little girl. In addition to his love of dentistry, Dr. Permann enjoys farming, working on cars, riding dirt bikes, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

I feel like family at Summit Dental. Even after 2 years of no dental care, I came back and they remembered me like I was there yesterday. The check-in's are easy, the variety of appointment reminders are really useful, and I genuinely trust the dental care by Dr. Barfuss and his staff.

Dr. Barfuss and his team were very friendly. The service at the front desk is very efficient, and they all make a patient feel very welcome and comfortable. A very enjoyable experience for my first appointment!

If you are looking for a new dentist office, I would recommend Summit Dental to anyone. Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. Recently got a crown, besides some sensitivity the next day, it was a painless procedure. I have Dr. Barfuss as my primary dentist, he is awesome and you can tell he loves his job.

I've been seeing my dentist and sending my family in for years now. All the doctors are very nice and understanding, the dental hygienist are all very good and have done a great job working with my son who is quite difficult at times. I won't go anywhere else.

Very professional, courteous staff, at front desk and in the young woman who actually did much of the work ("Rosy"). The dentist came in and, I guess, checked her work and the overall condition of my teeth, and he was super-nice, courteous and efficient, as well. So it went well today, and accordingly I thank the staff at the clinic for their courtesy, efficiency, professionalism and friendliness.

I've had great care at Summit Dental and would recommend them to anyone. Dr Barfuss did an implant which was painless and has worked great ever since. The routine cleanings have also been pleasant and painless.
