An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. By making images easier to see, its helpful in gaining a better understanding of oral health conditions and suggested treatment.

Let's start by saying I am a chicken! But first impressions make all the difference. I called this dentist by mistake then called my real dentist the receptionist at the first one was amazing called my dentist she was awful! Needless to say I called back the first one to make an appointment long overdue! They were amazing! Dealing with me is not easy! 5 stars from start to finish! They didn't make me feel bad and were just amazing for me to say that about a dentist is something!! Go to them!

Curtis was super with the xrays. I was having an anxious morning and he was really kind and patient with me. Sadly I don't remember the young lady at the front desks name but she spent a lot of time checking my insurance for me. The hygienist wasn't there for some reason so the the Doc took care of my cleaning! Very happy to have my teeth shiny again. Clean place with friendly people! Nothing to fear here!

I had to change dental offices because my insurance has changed. I had a hard time to find a dental office that accepts the type of dental insurance that I have. About four weeks ago my insurance recommended this place ,the only office near my zip code .I was very skeptical at first ,but after my new patient appointment , I can honestly say that this has been the best dental appointment I've ever had!!!! From the moment I walked in till the moment I left that building! All staff was very welcoming, knowledgeable, courteous and very gentle ! Not to mention that the attention to details blew my mind! The best part is that everybody's vibe was so positive and genuine! The service was very thorough , suggestions or recommendations were wonderful and the pricing was explained very clearly! I will definitely recommend this office to everybody!

They will try to up sale you in the deep deep cleaning like mentioned in the other reviews and not honor what comprehensive dental office visit that your insurance cover,because they refused. I will just go back to my dentist I always went to. They gave me the talked and I listened like I'm not smart enough to know what is what and what you can and can't refuse. They only reason I came here is because it was closer to my home, but not worth it. The X-ray guy was nice thou

I absolutely loved my experience at Summerville Smiles! I recently moved to the Charleston area and was in search for a good dentist. The team was very knowledgeable and welcoming. I came for my annual cleaning and to establish a dentist. Dr. Valentino was great! She took time and answer all my questions and explained the dental issues I had and a future plan to correct the issue. I had Such a great experience! I will be bringing the rest of my family here!! I highly recommend Summerville smiles for a great thorough service.

I was looking for a new dental office and they were recommended by a co worker. I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and from the time of scheduling the appointment on the phone all the way until my visit was complete was amazing! My experience with the hygienist, Renessa, was the best cleaning and experience I've ever had!!! I don't think I've ever laughed as much as I did at a dental appointment. Great team, very professional. Would recommend Renessa as my family and friends' hygienist any day!!! I definitely recommend this office to anyone in need of a new dental home!

I'm not the one to usually write reviews but I felt the need to write one for this amazing dental office. I had the most amazing experience at Summerville Dental front the moment I walked in the staff was welcoming and nice made me feel important. Not to mention my dental hygienist Renessa was exceptional she is very meticulous and her cleanings are impeccable. Renessa is very thorough and had my teeth feeling very clean. The whole staff was amazing! I will definitely recommend Summerville to my family and friends!

The dentist is very nice but the office manager has no idea what she's doing. Went in for first appointment/cleaning was told she couldn't verify my insurance, (I had brought in insurance info long before) so I was told a price for cleaning and X-rays. Paid the total, she promised to call next day, I called her several days later was told insurance verified but to late to submit claim(not true). After speaking with insurance carrier informed they did submit claim then I get a bill to top it off. Terrible staff.

Such an amazing experience at Summerville. From the moment I walked in I felt extremely welcomed! From the front staff to the back everyone was awesome! They were very efficient from start to finish. I must say they have a phenomenal hygienist Renessa! By far the best cleaning I have ever had, gentle, quick, and professional. If I could give Renessa 3,010 stars I would!!!
