As a dentist, I am reminded daily of how important and rewarding my profession is. Being able to give my patients healthy and beautiful smiles is not only beneficial to their overall health, but it also vastly improves their confidence and self-esteem. I have never taken for granted the significance of what my work means for my patients, and each day I am thankful for the opportunity to improve the lives of the people I meet. Each one of my patients is so very important to me, and their trust in my ability to give them the best dental care and experience is a testament to my commitment to treating my patients like the amazing individuals they are.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine, and I then completed my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, CA, in 2004. After, I enrolled into a residency program at Keesler AFB Hospital, in Biloxi MS, and completed my post-doctoral training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). This training provided me with in-depth academic and clinic experiences in IV and oral sedation, implantology, wisdom teeth removal, periodontal surgery, as well as other areas of general dentistry. I spent three years practicing dentistry in the Air Force, stationed in Dyess AFB, Abilene, TX, and then remained an active reservist for another Five years at Carlswell AFB, rank Major.

Since becoming a doctor, my education hasnt stopped. Because my patients entrust their health to me, I place the highest priority on constantly continuing my education so that I can stay abreast of the latest techniques, trends, and technologies in my field. For instance, to offer patients the best restorative option for missing tooth replacement, I have heavily focused my studies on implantology, sinus lift, and bone graft. In 2017, I was awarded Diplomate status [highest honor] with the International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI). To achieve this honor, I was required to first reach Fellowship status, which was an incredible feat in itself having to attend more than 200 hours of continuing implant education courses, provide documentation of 20 successful implant cases, and a letter of recommendation from a current ICOI member. To be awarded Diplomate status, I had to present an additional 75 successful implant placement and restoration with very specific techniques and complications that I restored, along with an additional 75 hours of continuing education courses on implantology, as well as passing their examination.

Towards the end of 2016, my focus and attention started to turn into a new beginning. During the time, my son was 5 and he was diagnosed with provisional ADHD. I began a new journey on understanding ADHD. Leading to a new chapter in Summer Smiles and my new passion, comprehensive oral & maxillofacial therapy to prevent dental disease & optimize systemic wellness.

I grew up in Los Angeles, California, and currently reside in Allen. The Airforce brought me to Texas in 2005, and it has since been home. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have two ninja warrior boys. Outside the office, I enjoy various outdoor activities and staying active in sports. My other hobbies include model building, video games and aquariums.

She is Dr. Hsia's right hand, and if you were to ask her shell tell you that she is also his left hand. Angie is a competitive soccer player and knows how to tackle people and make them eat snow [happened to the writer of her bio] so dont mess with her.

Imagine having Jeremiah, with his rico suave curly hair and broad shoulders whisk you away while having your dental treatment worked on. Okay, depending on your preference, you might need to specify who assists Dr. Hsia. Our second man in the office, Jeremiah is our equalizer to the hormones. So I have been told, he cooks, cleans, plays guitar, base, and saxophone Ladies, sorry, but the guy has been claimed since toddler. Married to his high school sweetheart (whom he's known since kinder), and daddy to two rascals who somehow were able to remain clean while Dr. Hsias kids were covered in mud when they played together, this dude is able to keep order, balance, and charm.
