I don't recommend having dental work done here. They have goofed up my appointment times twice. I would show up only to be told that my time was different than what I was originally told. Be aware that you will be worked on by a dental student. It's not made known on the website. I understand that they must learn somehow, but it needs to be made plain to new patients. The student who tried to do my extraction, ran into difficulties. Not at fault. A student after all. After digging and prying, a man with a name tag saying "Dental Teacher" or something similar was called over. He spent 60 seconds and he was done Needless to say, all the rooting around and digging caused me needless pain and discomfort. I have had many extractions throughout my life, and the gum pain went away within days. In this case it's been a month and it's still tender. Please consider that you may not be worked on by an experienced Dentist.

If I could rate lower I would. I have never had so many complications following dental work as I have with this place. Their post procedure care plan is pitiful at best. Save yourself a lot of pain and headaches and find a different dentist office.

If I could rate negative I would. Never answer their phones, will not return calls when having complications after they take out a tooth, make you feel like you are an addict because you are in pain and Tylenol and ibuprofen don't work. Tell ya what let me rip out your teeth and take some Tylenol see if that helps. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! Summa is a joke anyways go to Cleveland clinic or independent to get treated like a human being.

They took really good care of my husband before we had insurance. They even did a root canal that he needed very badly. Maybe not a perfect place, but I was sure thankful for them.

I have complications after 1 week of post op wisdom teeth oral surgery which was SUPPOSED TO BE DONE by a oral surgeon but was done by a resident. I look in my mouth and it looks like he cut my whole gums and cheek open, how my cheek even got cut open I have no idea. I have called and left voice-mails over and over and over and I was told by my dentist to call up there when I was having severe pain days after and no one will answer. No one answers the phone and this isn't just me talking about this!

I went in due to tooth pain. Had one resident tell me my teeth look good and another one tell me I needed gum surgery. Neither one addressed the tooth pain or mentioned an infection. Fast forward 2 weeks I ended up with an infection: chills, fever, dizziness, fatigue, etc. Got prescription antibiotics from an urgent care and feel so much better after just 3 days on the medication.

Run as fast as you can away from this place. The student 'dentists' have _no idea_ what they're doing, and their clinical supervision is in name only. Seriously, even the terrible summit county public health indigent dental clinic is more competent. The only way Summa is going to get off their complacent a**es and start meeting minimum standard of care is if a bunch of people sue them, which I highly recommend you do if you are one of the many people who received sub-standard care here. Summa should be ASHAMED that it mistreats people just because they can't afford exorbitant market rate dental care - which, by the way, it isn't even that much cheaper than!

Where do I start ? Ugg Summa Dental has turned into a complete nightmare to deal with. 2 times I had an emergency and I needed to cancel. They never answer the phone anymore. So I called and called and no answer. I finally left a message...but never got a return call. Apparently it's ok for them to cancel appointments but god forbid you cancel on them they will kick you out of the practice. Stay far away from this dental clinic. They have no compassion for anyone.

Called for an appointment for my son as a new patient having a toothache, and I was greeted with a pleasant voice and personality to match! She was able to accommodate us in a reasonable time to be seen. His experience was painless and professional. We are very pleased, and will be returning for future dental care!

If I could give more stars I definitely would. I just went there today and everyone is super friendly and sweet! I will be recommending this place to everyone I know. They are really clean also. I am very pleased with my experience.edit. made my husband an appointment. And will not go back here. First they switched my appt. Then when it was time for his I was supposes to sit all the way down the hallway on a 2 person bench wasn't even allowed to sit in the waiting room even though it said on a poster that you could have one visitor. We left. Then when it was time for my appointment they didn't even call me. Will not be back.
