Dr. Mary Linda Sullivan is a periodontist in Tuscaloosa, AL who specializes in the treatment of periodontal disease as well as other cosmetic or health issues relating to the soft tissue around the teeth. She believes that patient education is paramount in understanding periodontal disease, subsequently leading to the knowledge to help a patient choose the best treatment option for his or herself. Dr. Sullivan uses convention surgical procedures and is pleased to offer Laser Periodontal Therapy. This laser-based method for treating gum disease results in less pain, bleeding, swelling, downtime and recovery.
She has been in private practice since 2000. To stay abreast of the latest advancements in periodontal care, she maintains professional memberships with the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology and the Alabama Society of Periodontists.
Dr. Gayathri Shenoy was born and raised in Dubai and went to dental school in India. She then received her second dental degree and three-year surgical training in Periodontology and Dental Implantology from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. Dr. Shenoy is Board certified in Periodontology and Dental Implantology and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Periodontology at the School of Dentistry, University of Alabama in Birmingham.
Dr. Shenoy believes in a comprehensive personalized approach to dental treatment. Her patients are her top priority and the favorite part of her job is communicating with patients- listening to their concerns, educating them about their oral healthcare needs, its link to systemic health and supporting and empowering them in their journey towards optimum oral health.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), Alabama Oral Health Coalition (AOHC), International Team for Implantology (ITI) and American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD).
Her interests include dental education, outreach, promoting healthcare literacy and community oral healthcare. When not at work, she enjoys cooking, hiking, yoga, meditation, swimming and spending time with her husband and their new puppy Gubbi Shenoy.

Dr.Sullivan is truly AMAZING in her dental care.I received gumcare periodontal surgery.I was handled with so much professional service,they took very good care of me from beginning to the ending making sure I was comfortable at all times.Dr.Sullivan hands just felt like a life time of experience, you can tell about the feel and preciseness of her performance.Dr.Sullivan was assisted by Chloe.Chloe performed well, keeping me comfortable and making sure everything went as planned.This was my very first procedure of which I am well pleased.KUDOS!!!
