Dr. Kalee Coakley grew up in Michigan and then attended the University of Michigan graduating with a degree in biology. She continued on to the University of Michigan Dental school where she graduated in 1996. She practiced for several years in suburban Detroit before moving to Chicago where she lived and worked for the next eleven years.
Having family in the Atlanta and Chattanooga area, she decided to move to the south in 2012. While working in Marietta, she and her husband, Mark, started a family and welcomed their adorable daughter, Ryn.
Kalee and Mark share a love of the outdoors and wanted to raise their daughter in a community with a small town feel. Moving to Ellijay and buying the practice from Dr. Fowler in August 2016 has fulfilled those dreams. In her spare time, Kalee likes to travel, run, read and cheer for her beloved Michigan Wolverines.
Dentistry is Dr. Fowlers love, passion and his vocation by choice. He is totally committed to the dental health, treatment, and service to our patients, even while working part time. Dr. Fowler had a wonderful midland American upbringing in Topeka, Kansas and then loved his college years at the University of Colorado in Boulder. He chose to take a break from his undergraduate degree in Math, Science and History to travel the world and to serve our country as a medical specialist in the Army Special Forces, Green Berets.
He finished his dental education in the Washington, D. C. area in 1980. At the age of 34, he moved to his wifes hometown, beautiful Ellijay, GAwhere he opened his dental practice and The Home of Southern Smiles! Dr. Fowler has earned his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry by averaging over 45 hours of Continuing Education for 36 years.
Jincy Parker Bufford graduated from DeKalb College, now Georgia Perimeter College, in 1994, as a registered dental hygienist and has been providing superior patient care ever since. She is the office OSHA coordinator and enjoys attending professional continuing education classes to advance her knowledge and patient care. Jincy lives in Jasper with her children Allen, Austin and Maggie.In her spare time Jincy is a substitute tacher,Girl Scout leader of her daughters scout troop, enjoys reading, going to the movies, camping and being with her church family.
Holly McDaniel has worked in the dental industry for over twenty years both as EFDA and office manager. Along with being an assistant to Dr. Coakley and Dr. Fowler she is also the social media and website administrator for the practice. She has one daughter, Tori and two small dogs who bring her great joy.
Katlyn White is our newest team member at Sugars End Dental. Katlyn was born and raised in Ellijay, Ga and went on to obtain her B.S. in Exercise and Health Sciencefrom Kennesaw State University before deciding to enter the dental field. Katlyn serves as a front office administrator as well as an assistant to Dr. Coakley. Outside of the officeKatlyn enjoys spending time with her husband, Chandler, as well as spoiling her fur babies, Moose, Samson, and Rambo.
