Dr. Gee graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors degree in biology then continued to complete his dental degree at the University of Texas Dental School in Houston. At graduation he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. After dental school he entered a two year orthodontic residency through UTDS to receive his Orthodontic license and become a Specialist in Orthodontics as well as receive his Masters of Science degree.
Dr. Gee and his wife Betty have lived in Sugar Land for over 30 years. They have two children Tammy (Husband Michael) and Andrew as well as three grandchildren. Michael is a dentist in the Greatwood area and Andrew is in his third year at Western University College of Dental Medicine and is due to graduate May 2019 as a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD).
He attended Clements High School, just like many of our patients, and then continued to Baylor where he was drawn into the arts including painting, charcoal drawing and sculpture with the renowned artist Karl Umlauf. After earning his Bachelors of Art he moved onto the University of Houston Clear Lake, then the University of Oregon to pursue his Masters in Fine Arts with a focus on ceramics. After graduation he moved back to Sugar Land to accept a teaching position at Houston Baptist University before deciding to go to dental school to prepare for the family business!
I have been creating beautiful smiles, beautiful faces and helping people for over 30 years through orthodontics. It is a profession that has allowed me to build friendships with amazing people, while improving their oral health and providing them with beautiful smiles.
I understand the effects that healthy straight teeth have on our patients: great oral health, an increased self-esteem and an overall increase in confidence from that great smile. The relationships I build with my patients are incredibly fulfilling and I find it rewarding to see the transformation of my patients from beginning to end.

Do not go to this place. They don't have x-rays and will make you go somewhere else and then come back for another appointment. They offer terrible and inefficient customer service or in others words they do a VERY POOR job and are very SLOW. For some reason they have their insides painted like they're in a Dr Seuss book. They probably should had spent that money on actual equipments and some decency to not waste people's time. GO TO BEAM Orthodontics if you're in sugar land.

Solid staff with great service. Appointments are hard to come by but that probably speaks to the number of clients there are.

I don't know if this place has changed much in the past 10 years, so take my review with a grain of salt. When I went here as a child for braces, they took great care of me. At one point, they put a Herbst appliance in to fix my overbite. On that day, I walked out of the office crying, and my mom took me back in to fix it (I could not even close my mouth). They fixed the issue by incrementally adjusting my Herbst appliance rather than doing it all at once. Later on, we found out that doing the full adjustment at once would have likely cause jaw issues later in life, so I dodged a bullet by demanding that they fix it. When I had my retainer check up 6 weeks into wearing it, the nurse had a difficult time trying to push the retainer onto my teeth (it had never fit quite right on my molars). 2 years later, I go back into talk about a tooth on my bottom teeth that had moved (because they put a permanent retainer across 6 of my teeth, so one outside of the 6 moved significantly). During this visit, I was completely dismissed. Instead of focusing on the tooth I was worried about, they concentrated on a top tooth that was BARELY twisted and still fit in my loose retainer. They even shaved the side of the tooth without disclosing or warning me at all, which I DID NOT want. During this check up, they assumed that I had not been wearing my top retainer at night (I had been) and sent me home with the reminder that this was the last visit that my plan had paid for. I will never go back to this office because as soon as you are done with their contract, they completely disregard you as a patient and a person. I wish that I could say that they were amazing, but unfortunately I can't.

My original orthodontist did not properly place my lower permanent retainer. I was flossing one night and my retainer flew off into the sink. I was freaking out and I googled Sugarland Braces and saw they had good reviews so I made an appointment. They were able to properly secure my retainer and explained everything so it was easy for me to understand. I feel much better and I am confident this retainer is going no where !!! Thank you Doctor Gee!!

Absolutely terrible. The staff at the front office are unprofessional, rude and have no idea what customers' service is. The Doctor and his son can't agree on treatment plan. I paid over $4500 a few months after my teeth started to come apart again and the adhesive came out shortly after. I would never go there again and you should not either.

Sugarland Braces has always been top notch. My wife and I have been going there for over 20 years, and every time we go we are treated like family. I wouldn't trust my smile to anyone else!

Dr. Gee and his staff are the best. They are very friendly and do an awesome job. I recently had braces on the top removed and a permanent retainer put it. They did an awesome job and informed me of all I needed to do. I recommend this office for any work for braces. Go check them out

My dentist suggested this orthodontist and I haven't even had my braces for a year and my teeth are already completely straight!! I have nothing but good things to say about this place, the staff is very nice and knows what they're doing and are ready to go as soon as you walk in. I would recommend this place to everyone who is looking to get braces!!

Dr. Gee used Invisalign on our son for his braces which was an excellent choice as they worked quickly for him, were comfortable and it moved his teeth well. They were also an excellent choice for him as he is a football player so it was much easier with his mouth guard. Thank you Dr. Gee!

I've known doctor Gee since i was in high school originally went to him for some orthodontist treatment and now as an adult i needed additional treatment and immediately went back to him. This office is accommodating and very friendly definitely recommend.

Dr. Gee Kim's office is extremely professional. The front desk staff are always very helpful and friendly. His orthodontic work is superb. As a current patient in the retainer phase of my treatment, I am very pleased with my results. My teeth are the straightest they have ever been thanks to Dr. Kim Gee!
