Dr. Stephen Tigani is committed to providing his patients with the best possible orthodontic care in the Washington area. He has worked in orthodontics for over fifteen years and believes in treating each and every patient with the individual care and attention they deserve.

Malia graduated from Allegany College of Maryland in 2016 as a Registered Dental Hygienist and is licensed to administer local anesthesia and monitor nitrous oxide. Her primary focus is giving patients the best care possible and educating the patient on their oral health. Malia has experience with dental assisting as well as being an implant coordinator. She prides herself in staying current with the latest research in preventative oral health care. Her professionalism and commitment are noticeably reflected in her positive attitude and delivery of care. Many of our patients leave raving about their experience with Malia and look forward to their dental visits. Malia enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, snowboarding and traveling with family and friends.

Zahra graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2021 as a Registered Dental Hygienist and is licensed to administer local anesthesia and monitor nitrous oxide. She is passionate about improving the oral health of her patients. She works with patients through clinical care and oral hygiene education to ensure that their oral health is a priority. Her goal is to make sure that every dental visit is a comfortable one. Zahra also enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Roxana was born and raised in Gaithersburg, MD. She then attended a dental assisting training school, Hands on D.A.T, located in Rockville, MD, where she received her dental assistant certificate in 2017. She then made her way back into the dental field as a full-time patient coordinator where she grew to love the administration side of the field. As an office manager today, Roxana dedicates her time supporting and supervising all administrative duties such as financing, billing/insurance, scheduling and coordinating patient treatment. Her overall goal is to provide outstanding support to patients and maintaining a smooth running office. In her free time, Roxana loves traveling and spending time with her son and boyfriend. She enjoys being in the city, where she likes to explore different cuisines and brunches with her family and friends!

I had a great experience with Dr. Kuhns and his assistant Janet. They work well together and are extremely professional and efficient. I also had a cleaning with Malia, the hygienist, and she was extremely gentle. She even massaged my jaw and allowed me breaks, as my jaw doesnt allow me to hold it open very long without pain. I would say Malia and Janet deserve a raise!! ??

I have been coming to this location for over 13 years when it was Dr. Nina Aks. I have received amazing service and care from everyone. Now I am seeing a new Dentist and his team I have so far received excellent service. My recent visit was with Dr. Taylor and her assistant LaToya. They were both very friendly and attentive. Of course, Berget, from the front desk is always super helpful. Im glad shes still there. There was a new addition to the room I was in, it was a TV with wonderful scenery scrolling through that made me feel like I was on vacation. It was very relaxing. Thank You all.

Dr. Kuhns and his staff were very professional and made me feel very comfortable during my entire visit. They explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand and I feel like they truly cared about me and werent just trying to get my money. Came in for regular cleaning and was greeted by a very friendly front desk staff. My information was processed quickly and efficiently by all members of the front desk. I was then escorted to the room of my cleaning where I was greeted with a smile by Malia. Ive been getting cleanings my whole life but Malia was one of the most cordial and proficient hygienists Ive ever had. During my cleaning, she made sure I was comfortable and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Lastly, I met with the Dentist who was happy to tell me I had no cavities! 10/10 recommend this office to anyone and everyone. All Smiles Over Here!

He provides his patients with the latest technology and advances in orthodontics while maintaining a personal and caring relationship with every adult, teen or child. Dr. Tigani believes every patient should have a healthy, happy smile that lasts a lifetime.

Dr. Tigani received his Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University in 1988 where he majored in Psychology and minored in Biology. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, Dental School in 1992, after which, he worked with his father, brother, sister and brother-in-law as a general dentist while pursuing his orthodontic degree. Dr. Tigani then completed a two year orthodontic residency program at Columbia University in 1995.

Dr. Tigani is a native Washingtonian who is involved at both the professional and community levels. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the District of Columbia Dental Society and a fellow of the International College of Dentists (ICD) and the American College of Dentists (ACD). The ICD is an honorary international organization that recognizes dentists for outstanding and meritorious service to the profession of dentistry and to the community. The ACDs members exemplify excellence through outstanding leadership and exceptional contributions to dentistry and society. He is a past President of the District of Columbia Dental Society, a component of the ADA that helps in the further advancement of the dental profession while being an advocate for the community and dentistry as a whole. Dr. Tigani is the past Chairman for the D.C. Dental Societys Give Kids a Smile Program, an annual event providing oral health care to low income families in the Washington, DC area. He currently represents the District of Columbia Dental Society as a delegate to the American Dental Association and also serves on the ADA Council on Membership.

Dr. Tigani has been involved with his community civic associations, coaches soccer and basketball for the past 20 years, and serves on numerous boards and councils. He is currently a delegate to the American Dental Association. He has been married for 27 years and has four children that attend various colleges and graduate schools.

Dr. Matthew Yarmosky was born and raised in Beltsville, Maryland, a suburb of the DC/Baltimore area. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. He then received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr. Yarmosky is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Maryland State Dental Association. He prioritizes his patients oral health and overall wellbeing and works hard to make his patients feel comfortable. In addition to addressing his patients chief concerns, Dr. Yarmosky customizes treatment plans to help his patients reach their goals and provides thoughtful and thorough explanations to ensure his patients understand their dental needs.

When Dr. Yarmosky isnt at work, he enjoys hiking and kayaking with his fianc and 2 dogs or keeping up to date on current dental research and technology. He loves working with his hands and is currently renovating his townhouse from scratch
