Dr. Jay Kabinoff grew up in Elmira, New York and moved to Albany as a teenager. He graduated from Albany High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the State University of New York at Albany. He obtained his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Kabinoff later completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry with a concentration in comprehensive patient care and didactics at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Kabinoff returned to the capital district and has owned and operated his own practice since 1996. Additionally, he serves as a General Dentist for Dentserv Dental Services, treating patients in nursing/geriatric facilities one day per week. He also conducts confidential, impartial peer review and chart auditing for a multi-dentist, public health care facility.
Dr. Kabinoff is a member of the American Dental Association and the New York State 3rd District Dental Society. In his spare time, he is an avid collector of Fenton Art Glass and serves on the Board of the National Fenton Glass Society.

5 star service! appointments are always quick but thorough. Dr Jay is very professional and knowledgeable. He gives information as it is with no BS. My hygienist Tammy is kind and relatable. She is always there to answer questions about my dental care.

Staff is kind and courteous. I had a minimal wait time. The rooms are kept up and clean. They do not over charge like most dentist offices.

I have been going here for around 20 years and have always had a good experience. The hygienists are wonderful, and Dr Kabinoff will even jump in to help with a cleaning if needed. Their team is top notch.

I have never feared the dentist all my life. That is because I have always been in the comforting care of Dr. Kabinoff and his excellent staff of dental professionals. It was not until my insurance changed and I had to see a new dentist where I quickly realized just how much care my first dentist was really providing. Since then I have been using DentaCard to afford Dr. Kabinoff at a largely discounted rate. It's saved me tons of money compared to paying out of pocket and every penny is worth going to the best dentist in Albany county.

Dr. Jay and his team are awesome. They know their stuff, and they're friendly and fun - makes going to the dentist easy. Have been going to him now for about 20 years, even after having moved an hour away several years ago. Highly recommend.
