Stunning Smiles of Lake Forest is a Lake Forest based family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages. We are committed to delivering the highest quality dental care and do so using advanced dental equipment. We are a cosmetic dentist that offers services like checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, veneers and more.
Dr. Joe, as he prefers to be called, did his schooling on the East Coast. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Vermont and his Doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. His desire to choose dentistry as a profession stems from his hobbies and interests.
I guess I just like anything where I can work with my hands to express myself. Whether its tinkering on motorcycles, building furniture, or drawing and painting, Dr. Joe loves to create dusty messes in his garage. Its very gratifying to start with nothing but a vision and see it come to fruition and be proud of the result. I have always prided myself on attention to detail. When he isnt hiding out in the garage, he can be found with his daughter, wife, and dog enjoying their company and doing absolutely anything that gets them outside and smiling. Dr. Joe is an avid outdoorsman who has a passion for snowboarding, motorcycles, and paddling out for a day of surfing.
Dr. Elahi did both her undergraduate and doctorate schooling at the University of Pittsburgh. It is here that she met her husband, Dr Joe, and conceived the notion of some day growing a dental practice together. Dr Elahis hobbies and interests are not so much tied to a particular activity, but more coupled to the personal connection she has with the people she is with.
What do I do for fun? Anything! Everything! I dont really care what Im doing as long as Im surrounded by good friends and family while doing it. From skydiving to atv riding, she rarely gets bored with life and is always willing to try something new. She loves nothing more than spending time with her family and in particular her daughter, Aiyla. Her vivacious and bouncy character are inviting qualities which welcome a calming sense of reassurance.

Make sure you check your insurance payment to this office before paying your bill. I thought this dental office was different but I was wrong. My insurance made a payment to this office already and this office is trying to collect as if my insurance hasn't paid them. The office girl didn't want to do her job to file paperwork to my insurance so I had to find time away from my full time job to file a claim with my insurance company, even though she had all the information needed. Yes, I had to do her job but didn't get paid for the work. The saddest part was that Dr Elahi wouldn't take my call about the front office girl.

This place is a gem!! Dr E and her assistant are incredible. They even got my 5 year old to feel at ease (which is not always an easy task). They are professional and do a great job. Highly recommend!

I went about two months ago for a cleaning and Dr. Joe and his staff worked with me and provided me with a comprehensive treatment plan. I actually had a frightening experience when I was in high school where I had to extract several teeth to prep for braces. The dentist, back at that time, applied anesthesia to numb the gums but it was extremely painful and this is why, I was afraid of visiting the dentist - the anesthesia. Dr. Joe applied two injections where I didn't feel anything and from that point on, I knew I was reassured. This may be nothing to other people but to me, it was a great leap forward and plus, I couldn't be happier with the core buildup and crown placement both he and his staff worked on! Thank you Dr. Joe and everyone else to making the stereotypical, frightening dentist experience a great one!

What a great experience! Extremely friendly staff and great service. Dr. Joseph was awesome! He was super genuine and I could tell he really knew his stuff. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a new dentist! Update: I went back to get my treatment done and could not be more pleased with the service and results. I have a new smile now that I love!

I'm not too keen on going to the Dentist normally but I'm so glad I found this place. They are professional, nice, great bedside manner. I definitely recommend this place especially to those that dislike seeing the dentist.

My wife found this office and tried it last week and loved it and got me a schedule for today and I truly loved this office because of: Super friendly doctor who was knowledgeable, transparent, and explained the process instead of pushing to sell products or services Nice knowledgeable staff, explained the exact cost with my insurance Amazing-relaxing atmosphere Brand new Technology Great and easy Scheduling system with text and email reminder Simply loved it and already scheduled my next appointment.

I can't say enough good things about Stunning Smiles! I should have switched dentists years ago. Everyone was super friendly and Dr. Elahi was amazing, put me at ease immediately. They were gentle, thorough, explained everything in a straightforward way, and took the time to listen to any concerns I had about my teeth. And they have TVs! Overall I think this was the best dental experience I've ever had. I've found my forever dentist! I Highly recommend Stunning Smiles of Lake Forest.

I have been going to Stunning Smiles twice a year for more than five years. Over the years, Dr. Joe and Dr. Elahi have taken care of me, my wife and daughter. They always treat us like their own family. Plus, I get to watch some cool TV shows while I'm in the chair during the appointments. Here's a tip: I often recommend Dr. Elahi to friends because she has a nice, easy touch and manages to do the work while causing the least amount of pain. I know someone with sensitive teeth who said Dr. Elahi made it possible for them to enjoy having regular checkups. You won't regret coming to this great little neighborhood dentist.
