Our founder Dr. David Stubbs is a kindhearted and considerate dentist with extensive knowledge of oral surgery ranging from IV sedation, to single dental implants to full mouth reconstruction such as the All-on-4. He has refined his skills through thousands of surgeries and years of in depth training both during his time in the US Navy, and after his return.

Dr. David Stubbs graduated from The University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and immediately following served as an officer in US Navy where he received post graduate education and expert clinical training in all specialties of dentistry including wisdom teeth removal, IV sedation and implant dentistry. Dr. Stubbs places high priority on the comfort of his patients in his approach to dentistry. He wants everyone to have a positive experience at the dentist.

Dr. Stubbs and his team believe strongly in making our community and the world a better place. Dr. Stubbs cites two life changing events that have instilled in him a desire to help people in whatever way he can. The first is serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ecuador where he served the people of Ecuador for two years. The second is going to Peru years later to treat the less fortunate on a dental mission. Dr. Stubbs was able to offer free dental care to many people who had never seen a dentist before in their lives.

He has lived with his family in the South Davis County area since 2012 and opened Stubbs Dental in 2014. He is married to Brandy Kaye and both he and his beautiful wife were blessed to adopt their son Dylan in May 2014 the day before Stubbs Dental opened their doors for the first time! Dr. Stubbs and his wife were surprised 9 months later to learn that they were pregnant with their second child! Kaylee Anne is the younger sister that keeps her family on their toes. Dr. Stubbs and family are also the proud owners of a Russian Blue cat named Gus Gus.

Dr. Jim Willardsen is a leading cosmetic and restorative dentist thathas over 24 years of dental experience. Dr. Willardsen attended Brigham Young University, majoring in Biology. In 1996, he graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, in Southern California. He moved to Nevada where he practiced for over 18 years and was voted by his peer dentists as Top Dentist in Las Vegas Life Magazine on several occasions. He recently moved to Salt Lake City, where he and his three children live. During his career he has always worked to continue his education to better serve his patients. He continues to take courses pertaining to occlusion,neuromuscular dentistry, full mouth restoration, and dental implants.

Dr. Willardsen is a proud father of two boys and a daughter. He enjoys snow skiing, motocross, mountain/road cycling and going to the beach with his family as often as possible. When he his not working or spending time with the family, he spends his personal time training as an amateur cyclist. He competes in cycling races yearly, having completed Lotoja 8 times. This race starts in Logan Utah and ends in Jackson Hole, WY, extending 206 miles. It is considered the longest single day classic race in the USA. This is one of his most treasured accomplishments. Dr. Willardsen is a devoted member of his church and volunteers working with young men as a leader, teacher, friend and mentor.

Dr. Kris Kuchenmeister, Dr. K can be found at our Layton location specializing in dental implants and sedation dentistry. With eight years of dental experience he will surely take care of your all your dental needs. Dr. K graduated from Utah State University with his Masters of Business Administration in 2007. He also has degrees in human resource management, chemistry, and Spanish from USU. He then went on to graduate from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California in 2012. Dr. K has been a member of the armed forces for 8 years and in 2018 was promoted to a Major in the United States Army Reserves. He loves serving his country and humanity around the world.

Along with his expertise in dental implants Dr. K has extensive experience in sinus augmentation, is IV Sedation certified, and ACLS certified. Continuing his education and expanding his knowledge has been important to Dr. K since he first fell in love with dentistry as a high school student working as a dental assistant.

In his free time Dr. K enjoys spending time with his wife Ashley, and their four sons, Ryan, Ethan, Grey, and Archer. When they get a break from their crazy schedules they enjoy spending time in nature, hiking, fishing, and taking road trips as a family.

Dr. Shane Phillips recently joined our Layton team after practicing dentistry in the Salt Lake Valley for 23 years. Dr. Phillips attended Texas A&M where he received his Bachelors of Science in Scientific Nutrition. Then in 1997 he received his D.D.S. from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Dr. Phillips is a firm believer in continuing education designed to help provide patients with a broad range of dental treatment options. He has completed additional courses in implant dentistry and is sedationcertifiedto make sure his patients receive the most advanced care. I love making a difference in peoples lives when it comes to their overall dental health. When I can produce the quality of dentistry that makes my patients happy it is very gratifying. -Dr. Phillips

In his free time Dr. Phillips enjoys hiking, camping, hunting, sporting events and golfing with his wife, Jeri,and family. He has four amazing children that he and his wife lovespending their time with Trey, Taylor, Austin, and Alex. He also has eight delightful grandchildren that keep him on his toes.

Dr. Riley Robinson earned a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University-Idaho where he met his lovely wife. He went on to study dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia where he gained extensive training in dental technology. While earning his D.D.S. degree, his research in various aspects of dentistry were published in multiple reputable journals including Journal of Dental Sleep Medicine, The Dental Investigator, and Journal of Dental Research (pending publication).

He later received further training in general dentistry at the University of Utah Health Science Center, where he excelled in oral surgery. Dr. Robinson has a passion for esthetic dentistry and has been recognized by both the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry for his work and excellence in this field. He strongly believes that the confidence gained from a beautiful smile can change a persons life.

Dr. Loveland holds additional certifications in dental implant dentistry, sedation dentistry, orthodontics, advanced cosmetic and restorative dental techniques. He is consistently continuing his education to ensure his patients receive the best care possible. He loves performing full mouth reconstruction surgeries. He loves seeing the real smile on a patients face when they are finished. He loves being able to give them the ability to eat normally and love their smile again.

Dr. Loveland spends his free time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. They love spending time outdoors barbecuing, camping, hunting, biking, and hiking. When they arent outdoors, they enjoy watching movies together as a family in their home theater.

Dr. Dennis J Blume was born in Ogden and has practiced dentistry for over 24 years in the Provo and Springville area before coming to Stubbs Dental. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University, and graduated with honors.

When he's not in the office he enjoys spending time with his family in his cabin. He particularly enjoys riding horses through our beautiful and bountiful nature!When you see him make sure to give him a warm greeting, and if you're feeling bold, ask him for horse riding tips!

Dr. Kershaw was born and raised in Alberta, Canada, and completed her undergraduate education there. She received her degreein Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Alberta, graduating with honors in 2011. After practicingas a hospital pharmacist in Canada for several years she thenattended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, graduating with honors in 2019.

After graduationDr. Kershaw had the opportunity to work in Pittsburgh for 3 years, as well as travel to Guatemala on a medical mission trip before relocating to Utah with her Husband.Dr. Kershaw is passionate about dentistry andaspires to provide her patients with comprehensive care in all areas of dentistry. She continually works to expand her skillset by taking continuing education focused on a wide variety of topics from wisdom teeth to implants.

Outside of the office, Dr. Kershaw and her husband love to be outdoors, snowboarding/skiing together during the winter, mountain biking or running in the summer, and enjoying artistic projects all year round!

Dr Jordan Swarbrick is our Oral Surgeon and recently finished his surgery residency in June of 2020, achieving his certification in oral surgery and acquiring his D.D.S. ! He has alsoundergone four to six years of additional training compared to regular dentists. This includes a medical residency program in which advanced surgical skills are taught to address a range of conditions that can impact your oral and overall health. Despite being fresh out of his education program, Dr. S has already displayed abilities that surpass many who have been in this field for their entire lives. Quick to learn, teach, and adapt to his situation, his years of college basketball at UVU has taught him to think on his feet and be ready for anything at any time!

Dr. Daniel Bostock is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He was born in Medford, Oregon and grew up in beautiful Cache Valley, Utah. He attended Utah State University and pursued undergraduate major degrees in Biology and Psychology and minor degrees in Business and Portuguese. He then attended the University of California, San Francisco, where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. After dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at the prestigious Houston Texas Medical Center and gained additional training in facial trauma, maxillofacial prosthodontics, implants and general anesthesia. He then pursued an additional 4 years of specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through Howard University Hospital including surgical experience at the Washington, DC VA, Washington Hospital Center, Winchester Hospital, and Anne Arundel Hospital becoming very proficient in tooth extractions, implants, advanced bone grafting, orthognathic surgery and TMJ disorders. His training also included facial plastics at Georgetown Hospital and pediatric anesthesia at Childrens National Medical Center.

He is Board-Certified and holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Facial Cosmetics and General Anesthesia.

January 10th, 2021 Dr. Daniel Bostock was killed in a head on collision in Tooele County when another car driving the wrong way hit his vehicle. Stubbs Dental is heart broken to have lost such an amazing friend and colleague. We will always honor his memory. Below you will find words our staff has shared about their time with Dr. Bostock as well as his biography. We will miss you dearly.
