Prior to purchasing Stuart Family Dental from Dr. Chris Siebrasse, Dr. Cross spent three years serving the West Des Moines and Adel areas. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. Cross is happily married to his high school sweetheart, and they are blessed with two young boys and their family dog, Bauer. When hes not in the office, Dr. Cross enjoys being a father, spending time with his family, being involved with his church, playing hockey, bow hunting, and attempting to play golf. He also has a passion for giving back to the community; Dr. Cross is a regular volunteer for the Smile Squad, a mobile dental clinic that provides dental care to elementary students in the Des Moines area. He also volunteers at the Stand Down, an event providing free dental care to homeless veterans.
Lorie pursued a career in dental hygiene through DMACC and graduated with honors in 2006. Lorie began working at Stuart Family Dental in October of 2006. She enjoys getting to know her patients and making them smile. When shes not in the office, Lorie likes spending time with her family, watching Dancing with the Stars, and loves glitter and tinsel.
Angie has been the office manager at Stuart Family Dental since 2016 and loves getting to work in her own community. Angie spends her free time with her husband, church family, and precious grandson, Jonah.

Gone here my whole life and always had great work done by the dentist who previously ran it and currently . Out of more than 2 decades of supporting and feeling comfortable there , I was turned down over canceling 2 appointments . Only two over the past 20 years by the new front desk Staff . First time was when the pandemic was at its highest and I was ill. 2nd time was a terrible snow storm where most businesses even closed in stuart that day because the roads were so bad. I called over 8 hours ahead of time that day because im a cautious driver when it comes to terrible weather and the roads were too risky to drive that far. I was told by the rude front desk woman to wait and call back at noon in case the roads got better after rudely denying my request. The blizzard got worse and roads were life threatening to drive on so i tried to call at noon like the woman asked. No answer 3 times and she ignored my last call. I left a voicemail to once again confirm to the ignorant woman it was too risky and I was canceling. She denies everything, says I no called no showed when tried to get another apportionment and refused me. Dentist himself is awesome, front desk staff is rude and lies . Decades of trust and support gone .

Dr Ames and the staff are so friendly and so kind! Great bedside manner and very compassionate with people who don't like to make dentist appointments I just know my teeth are in good hands! I'm so happy to recommend Stuart Family Dentistry!

I broke my front tooth and Dr. Cross got me into the office to fix it right away. He took the time to make sure it looked good and make sure I was comfortable during my appointment. The whole staff is professional and vey courteous. Great team highly recommend.

Dr Cross and his team do incredible work. I had teeth that were crooked and wasn't sure they could be fixed. In 32 weeks my teeth are perfect! The team at Stuart Family Dental made this process simple and as pain-free as possible. From the customer service to the care and precision of the dental work, you cannot go wrong choosing Dr Cross and his team. It was worth the drive from Des Moines every time to get this quality of service!

Ames Cross is one of the best dentist's if not THE BEST dentist I've ever been to. I had one the worst dental experiences in my life at Aspen Dental in Des Moines, where they attempted to drill and fill a "small" cavity; then told me I would have to have the tooth pulled because it was too deep and left me with a temporary filling, in terrible pain for the next two days, and my bite severely uneven. Then I found this guy, and he fixed it without a problem. Didn't have to pull it, just re-drilled it and filled it. My bite was perfect and there was absolutely ZERO pain when the numbing wore off. Thanks Again Doc!
