Below is our New Patient Package that you will need to complete on your first visit. You can expedite matters by downloading the package, completing it at home and handing it to our staff when you arrive for your initial visit to our office.
Your first visit to our office is designed to get you better acquainted with all we offer as well as introduce you to our caring staff. On your first visit, we will review your medical and dental histories and evaluate your oral health. We will take digital x-rays of your teeth and explain to you whether or not you will require any dental treatment.

Our dental office uses the latest state-of-the-art equipment and cutting edge technology and we uphold the strictest sterilization techniques. We know that many people may feel anxious about coming to the dentist, so it is our goal to make your visit with us as pain and anxiety free as possible. We view it as our mission to educate our patients about all of their oral health care options and to help guide them to choose a treatment plan that is most suitable and appropriate for their needs.

Dr. Shaffren is really great at what he does! I was recommended by others to go check him out and I was truly not disappointed. He is very gentle and took the time out to educate me on what was going on with my teeth. I will definitely be going back!! :)

Dr. Shaffren is wonderful. After experiencing pain for days I was able to speak with his Assistant Ana. She was able to secure me an appointment on a Sunday. He relieved me of my anxiety and helped me feel comfortable. I love his professionalism as well as his sense of humor. He relieved me of my pain and I was so impressed by his demeanor and his professionalism that I will be going to him for all my dental work. A big "Thank you" shoutout to Dr. Shaffren. Been seeing this wonderful dentist for over thirty years [1991] and would never see another dentist so long as he is still around. [PLEASE NEVER RETIRE] Not only is his a gentile, kind and totally skilled dentist but he puts you at ease with his humor. Once I find a doctor or dentist that is all around excellent, I stay for life and Dr Stuart is at the top of my list. Having found this great guy I got my family to see him and they are also Dr Stuart lifers. Even when I moved 30 miles away I still made the drive in to see him. Now that I am back in Queens I can see him twice a year and my mouth thanks me. Anyone who wants a funny, caring and highly skilled dentist should check him out. You will be a lifer too.

I had been hearing about MD Shaffren's office since I was about eight years old, from my nieces who were approx five, four, and three at the time. They loved going to the dentist. Then I started hearing it from another family of nephews all over again about 10 years ago. Finally I took my children last year to see MD Shaffren, and they are hooked :) He is brilliant with children; he approaches them with creativity, makes them laugh and captures their interest, and has tremendous, tremendous patience with all types. My kids have no concept of discomfort at the dentist's office. And with adults he exhibits the same patience (with an adult sense of humor), and gives clear information and educates each patient according to their interest. Everyone I see comes out smiling. I enjoy going even just to watch and learn from this incredible example of how to interact with children and people around me. May he continue to have the strength and ability to continue his wonderful work for many more years to come. And note about his secretary Ana: she is very sweet, understanding about children and their antics, and really tries to accommodate each and every patient's schedule when making appointments. She has called me back multiple times to offer me appointment times that she knew I was hoping for. We are very grateful to her!

Dr. Shaffren is honestly the best dentist I have ever been to. I have not always been the biggest fan of going to the dentist, but Dr. Shaffren is welcoming and makes the entire trip to the dentist a pleasurable experience. I would recommend him to anyone

Dr. Stu is a great dentist for more than one reason. He is excellent at what he does but he also makes the visits fun. You can talk and laugh about Star Wars, Star Trek, the Marvel and D.C. universe's with him and before you know it you are all done. If you need dental work done I highly recommend

Having had my dentist of many years retire, I experienced terrible pain. After being turned down by other "so-called" emergency dentists, I was referred to Dr. Shaffren through a friend. He graciously saw me within hours. He relieved me of my pain and I was so impressed by his demeanor and his professionalism that I will be going to him for all my dental work. I have found my dentist :)

Took 20yrs to find a dentist finally found the best dentist ever kudos to Dr Stuart and his staff! Very caring personal very clean place. He's very detailed funny calms you down explains everything he doing as he's working and on point. I recommend this dentist the best ever Thank you Doc

I love the personal touch that is evident every time I visit Dr. Shaffren. The office staff is very warm, helpful, and accommodating and the doctor does all of the work on his patients himself. He will answer any questions you have and is quick to show you and teach you about any dental questions, particularly relating to your own teeth.
