Strong Smiles Dental Care in Edgewater tried to arrest me today for demanding they refund my money. Last February they removed a crown they said was chipped, charged me up front $659, gave me a temporary crown, and then kept me waiting. For months. In mid April, after it had fallen off and had to be replaced several times, my temporary crown became infected. I called Strong Smiles but was told they had no dentist on the premises. This happened three days in a row. They told me I would have to wait three more weeks to be seen. In desperation, I called West Annapolis Family Dentistry--who were wonderful! They were shocked at what Strong Smiles had done. They replaced my temporary crown immediately and took photos of my severely infected tooth and gums. I have been requesting and waiting for a refund from Strong Smiles since May. They keep telling me they have to get permission from "Corporate", but they won't tell me who "Corporate' is or how I can contact them. Melissa, their Patient Experience Coordinator has not responded to my calls or emails since last June. I called today to make an appointment to speak to her. The receptionist said she was in a meeting and that she could not help me. So, I went down there in person and asked to speak to Melissa, which they said I could not do. So I demanded my money back. I told them I have been waiting for 10 months and was tired of getting ignored. The receptionist told me if I didn't leave immediately, she would call the police. One of the office staff members told me she "wasn't going to do s@*t" for me. She refused to give me her name or tell me her position. Four Anne Arundel County police officers came in and said they would arrest me if I didn't leave. They said that my only recourse was to sue the company. By the way, there wasn't a dentist on the premises today, either. I know I'm overstating the obvious, but I don't think this is a legitimate medical practice.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I have never made a google review in my life due to the fact that we all have bad days but honestly I have never been treated so poorly in my life. This place will hustle you. Then insult you when you address them in a polite manner about it. First and foremost they do not do root canals. I called and ask to book an appointment for a root canal which I knew I needed per my regular dentist whom was out of town. I was also going out of town so I was looking for the soonest appointment available. Never once in this conversation over the phone did they tell me they did not offer the service that I needed. She said I would need to book an exam and get an up dated version of X-rays which seemed reasonable. I went ahead booked the appointment. I show up the next day ask how much the root canal would be again no mention that they do not offer this service. Front desk instead says that they don't like to give quotes before the exam. I again agree. Go get the exam and guess what I need a root canal and they don't offer them. When I go to leave I relayed that it they did not offer the service I requested they should of told me when I called, now I have to pay for two sets of X-rays and two office visits. I'm still in pain and leave for town in two days. I told the manger mind you that I felt like they were being a little misleading and that I would not of booked had I known that they did not offer the service I needed. Rather than be honest they wanted to get me in the door just to take my money. The manger could of just apologized for the miscommunication. Which would of be enough to please me. Instead she told me to my face that my attitude was poor and that if I didn't like the way they run there business that I don't have to come back. She really needs to be fired or retrained. I left frustrated, offended and still in pain. Jokes on her though I work in a salon down the street and tell all my clients not to go there. Even had two cancel their appointments and book with my regular dentist his name is Dr. Scott Steckler. Go there if you want be valued appreciate as a client and not get ripped off.

I have been coming to this location for YEARS now and the overall experience has always been great. Today after my appointment just when I thought I couldn't be more impressed I was! After having my annual cleaning, I want to give a big thanks to Jordan (Hygienist), Dr Brown and the dental assistant Denise. All 3 were very kind, easy going, explained the whole process from start to finish and just made my experience soo smooth! Thank you guys!

Used to be a great office. Last visit we walked out because we waited in the chair for 1 hour to see our doctor who never showed. This time they cancelled our appointment only a few days in advance and said the earliest they can see us now is 7 months later. If you cancel on a short notice, you make accommodations for your patients and make it work. We will not be back.

This used to be a FANTASTIC dental practice but over the past year it has gone downhill drastically. They have hired front desk staff that are unfriendly and difficult. They will cancel your appointment with little notice (my boyfriend, who I referred there, is still waiting to be rescheduled...) and my last visit I had a long wait to get seen, but if you as the customer are a little late they will refuse to see you! I will be finding a new dentist after being a loyal customer since 2009! VERY DISAPPOINTING.

After 3 (extra) attempts and 4 X-rays in one sitting to fix a failed filling (3 days before) the tooth is still not correct. Also my daughter was told she had a cavity needing filling which magically turned into 3 a few days later. Sue to them not having "gas" she went somewhere else with her X-rays. Had new X-rays taken and compared. NO cavities, the dentist says this has been happening more often. Insurance fraud? Malpractice? Ive left multiple messages canceling appts and requests for my families records. Not one call back but continue to get text message/email reminders.

Do not go here.. Used to be a good place but has continued to go down hill since Dr Bickling's departure. The practice continues to lose good dentists.. Extremely rude, condescending, front desk staff. They have lost a loyal patient of 15 years.

I thought I was being over critical when everytime I called they seemed to not have a clue or my records. Dr. Pichinko(spelling may be off), she spends zero time with patients to explain procedures. She tried to sell me invisalign my first trip after another dentist told me it would not work for my situation. Then my next visit I overheard a pt. Complaining that she got invisalign specifically to correct one tooth and it didn't even work. They then told her she would have to get braces. The woman at the desk was very rude to multiple patients. I tried to tell myself it was just me being overly critical but watched patient after patient walk out unsatisfied. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. I was going out of my way to go here because they told me over the phone that they do dentistry, endodontist, and orthodontist all from this office... LIE!!! My sister was told they do pediatric but when she showed up to the appointment they said they do not and she had to find a real practice. I too switched practices because this place is a total disappointment.

They scam people DO NOT GO THERE YOU WILL REGRET IT. came in to get a crown after going to a reputable endodontist who said it could hold a crown. They shaved down my tooth in the front so poorly my old dentist who I had to change because of insurance said that they had shaved the teeth down so bad the bridge wouldn't hold. Oh wait did I forget to mention they showed me with a smaller piece of tooth and told me it wouldn't hold a crown which was a blatant lie. They showed me my mouth with this shark tooth shape and said if they didn't do the surrounding teeth I would be left with my front tooth ruined. Not wanting to leave without a tooth up front I frantically agreed because they assured me it wouldn't look normal and the tooth that was done for the crown would need to be pulled. They traumatized me breaking the tooth down and asking my loved one to step out when he was righteously concerned and trying to speak up. I was so numb when they showed me my new shark teeth I broke down into tears because had I been appropriately informed that they were not clip on and required them ruining my healthy teeth I would of never agreed. They didn't even go over the risks before doing things. My old dentist showed me where they over shaved so that my partial bridge wouldn't last even 5 years. Thousands down the drain because they pushed services on me and treated me terribly showing me my mouth during the procedure and lying about services I needed. Making me believe there were no options to match the replacing of the tooth that couldn't hold the crown apparently. I was so numb and they made me believe the teeth would clip over my teeth not that 3 good teeth would be shaved down to do so. It's been years and I could of used those teeth. Now I'm financially not stable and still dealing with pain and sure enough my teeth didn't make it 5 years. I've had to pay countless dollars because their dentists couldn't show me respect and just want money. The terror I felt looking at all the damage they did expecting they were only pulling the tooth for the crown. I had one tooth pulled and 3 shaved down thanks to them. I'm still suffering thanks to them. My new dentist also said many people came from there to get repaired for their malpractice. They should be ashamed of themselves. If I could I'd rewind time I would in a heart beat. They manipulated me and scammed me injuring my perfectly good tooth. I had to be in there 4 hours! They had to break the tooth violently cus surprise the tooth was fine all along. I called the endodontist after the fact and my old dentist both said it could of held a crown. But take someone show them a mirror with their mouth mangled missing a tooth and lying to get money for extra procedures when they should be helping people. Please don't make my mistake. Going there was one of the worst experiences of my life. I left with my shirt coated in blood. I spent hours crying hiding my mouth. They were unprofessional and the worst dental office anywhere in edgewater. Do NOT RISK IT. PLEASE. For the sake of your health. They do not care about you they just want to throw services you don't need and do damage so you need to pay more. I truly hope their business fails because I think constant of all the poor people being harmed by their practice!

Update : My insurance FULLY paid for this visit on 2/11/22. Strong Smiles is still sending me bills as of 5/4/22 saying they will send my account to collection if I do not pay. Again - My insurance FULLY paid this in February. I would give this company a zero rating if it was possible. They recently changed their dentists, office manager, and billing company. This office has gone completely downhill since then. I've been trying to resolve a billing issue for over 4 months, an error on their part because of their new billing company. Don't waste your time here, there are a lot of better options in this area.

Do NOT go here!!! I have been coming since Dr. Bickling opened years ago. It has steadily gone downhill. I typically give them the benefit of the doubt. Today confirmed this practice has run into an iceberg. No doctors on site several days a week!!! None of the doctors from the start are here anymore. Scheduled a cleaning to be told they cannot do the cleaning. This is after a phone call that explained they can do the cleaning, there just won't be a Dr on site. Wanted to charge for X-rays anyway. There billing for my husband has been a nightmare. Procedures still not complete because his Dr. Left!!! Complete waste of time. Will NOT be back.

Scheduled an appointment two months in advance and revived a phone call a week prior that they won't have a dentist scheduled at that time. They offered an appt the next day, but I wasn't able to take it due to a conflict. The next available was two months out, I asked to be placed on a wait list, but was told they don't do that. If you do decide to book here be cautious they may not schedule a dentist and then offer a last minute Appt or something two months later that could get cancelled.

Do not go to this place. They harass you and try to get you to sign up for radiology and other services that you do not need. I used to have a dentist called Dr Colleen who moved to California. They con you into getting dental cleaning and then add on additional charges on a whim. Once you send them a check they will harass you with multiple reminders EVEN AFTER they cash the check. Horrible experience!

Horrible horrible horrible. Dr. Park was fired cause he was incompetent they have multiple doctors leaving or being fired. They replaced my crowns/bridges 4times because they were ill fitting. They told me they changed labs cause the lab kept messing up their bridges. After two years I am left with pain and discomfort. I'm too embarrassed to post the picture of my face after Dr. park left the root canal solution in my root passageway. The burning pain I felt was agony. They put my new bridge on a tooth that was infected and needed a root canal. Do not go to them if you need serious work done. They do not have corporate number that you can call. The head of the office said only she can communicate with the owner.

I am totally pleased with the work of my hygienist. Two sessions of deep cleaning were carefully and professionally done with minor after treatment discomfort. You have a happy patient thanks to her good technique.

I had to find a dentist to pull my tooth after it chipped on Monday. Dr.Blackwell was able to see me 2 days later compared to a week wait at otber places. When I tell you the staff, hygienist, and doctors were so nice, caring, and supportive. It was my first time getting teeth pulled and they made the experience way better then what I was expecting. Thank you Strong Smile!!!!

I needed a dental implant and received excellent care from Dr. Brewster. I am very pleased with the high level of preventative care for other services like cleaning.

Today I called with an emergency tooth pain and they got me in to see a dentist within an hour. I get there and the staff was awesome and now my new dentist Dr. Colleen Conlon I saw was great she sat and talked to me about options and listened to my concerns . I was very pleased at how even though we in a whole pandemic she took her time and I didn't feel rushed at all. Sorry old dentist it's a new dentist in town for me. My original dentist couldn't see me until January let's remind you I was swollen and in pain . Thanks a lot Strong Smiles And special thanks to Dr. Colleen Conlon you are awesome stay blessed
