Strobel Family Dentistry was found in 1928 by Harold HJ Strobel. His son, Donald, stewarded the practice for 40 plus years and eventually passed the torch on to his son Robert. Now the sole dentist/owner, Robert Strobel joined his dad in 2000 after graduating from the University of Michigan Dental School. At its inception, the practice was located on Madison Square, moved to the corner of Burton and Breton in 1968 and currently resides in a new office on Cascade Road.
Simply taking care of patients the way any of our families would want to be treated has provided the guiding principle for how our dental office has and will continue to be operated. Patients come first and we realize each patient and situation is unique. That being said, we work to treat each patient and each family in a manner suited for their personal circumstances.
Our Staff is the backbone of the office. Our administration staff, hygienists and dental assistants create the family atmosphere we want patients to experience. We strive to produce an environment where patients do not feel like just a number or just a name. We hope to get to know patients and their families over the course of many years. We know its a dental office, but our staff actually likes to have fun!
Dr. Robert Strobel is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan Dental School. Upon graduation he immediately joined his father, Dr. Donald Strobel in private practice. Dr. Bob enjoys his time with patients, his staff and his family. He also seeks interaction with the greater Grand Rapids community such as volunteer opportunities, school activities and church. Time with his wife, Melanie, and 5 children is greatly important to Dr. Strobel and he is happy to spend most of his down time with them. Dr. Bob loves his role as a family dentist. He considers it a high honor to contribute to the overall health of whole families.
