What I love about being a dentist is it gives the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. Through them, I have learnt so much , not only about peoples lives and values but also about myself. I am enriched each day by my interactions with patients and staff in so many ways.. I look forward to getting to know my patients and what is important to them and help them achieve their goals for their dental health. In order to truly serve my patients well, I appreciate the importance of keeping up with new advances in dentistry. People are often surprised to know how much dentistry is constantly evolving! But what I have learnt is that every day is a new opportunity to be better than yesterday. I am excited to be actively engaged in this process and am constantly looking at ways to incorporate new technologies and materials that make for better patient experience, comfort and better quality dentistry.

Dr. Mahale graduated from dental school in 2008 from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Shortly after she was part of a modern technology driven practice in Fargo ND for 9 years. She lives in Charlotte with her husband and her 6 yr old dog Dobby. In her free time, Dr. Mahale loves cooking, baking ,watching movies ,travel and hanging out with her friends and family.

Dr. Mahale is committed to continued growth both in her knowledge and hand skills and in this quest, she has consistently participated in hundreds of hours continuing education courses in Orthodontics, Facial Generated treatment Planning, Root Canal Therapy, Cosmetic Dentistry and implants.

Dr. John Ruocco graduated from dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received a degree in 1990. He has worked in a private practice for over 28 years, first in Northern Virginia and now in Waxhaw. He opened the Waxhaw office with his wife in July 2005 in a new state-of-the-art office. Dr. John Ruocco frequently participates in continuing education programs and stays informed about the latest dentistry developments. He enjoys the challenges that dentistry offers and likes helping people restore their smiles. When he is not helping his patients, John enjoys spending time with family and friends, working in the yard and playing tennis.

The warm, outgoing nature of our staff is key to our success. Many patients tell us that we had them at hello. We greet each patient by name and ensure our patients feel comfortable and cared for as soon as they step foot in our Waxhaw, NC dental office. But were also skilled professionals who bring extensive knowledge and experience to our work. Were a close-knit team and, just like the three doctors, were good listeners who dont rest until our patients are happy.

Currently residing in Union County, I began my career over 25 years ago as a DANB certifieddental assistant in Camden County, NJ. I have found it to be a rewarding and fulfilling career. Ihave been at this practice since 2007 and my current role is that of Office manager and Sleepchampion. I enjoy helping and assisting Dr. Mahale in striving to make sure all of our patientsare receiving the quality service and attention they deserve.As Sleep champion, I am excited to aid in improving our patients sleep quality which in turn canimprove their overall health.When not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

With more than 20 years of experience in the fields of orthodontic, pediatric, and general dentistry, Judy is the ideal person for the role of our front office coordinator, a position shes been thrilled to hold since 2007. Always happy to extend a genuine welcome to each of our patients, Judy thoroughly enjoys making everyone who walks through our doors feel comfortable and cared for. Her love and passion for helping people is evident in the way all of our patients feel from the moment they enter our practice. During her free time, Judy enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.

Amy joined Strive Dental Studio in the fall of 2019 with 7 years of experience in the dental field. She has previously worked as a front desk coordinator, dental assistant and currently is one of our awesome dental hygienists. Educating and helping patients is a passion of hers. She strives to build relationships with each patient while ensuring that they have a great experience during their visits. when she is not in the office, you can find her in Waxhaw with her family. Together with her husband Taylor, Amy is raising an adorable little girl named Merritt. They love spending time outdoors, traveling and making memories.

Meghan joined Family Dentistry in 2012, bringing more than 12 years of experience and a passion for helping people to our oral healthcare family. She earned her Dental Assisting II certification at CPCC and currently resides in Wesley Chapel. She truly loves working with our wonderful team, and finds real fulfillment in helping our patients keep their smiles healthy and beautiful. When Meghan isnt assisting our doctors in clinical procedures and making our patients feel welcome and comfortable, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, and playing an active role in her church.

Kelly has worked in the dental field since 2012, and she joined our team in 2018. Kelly completed her basic dental assistant training chairside. She went on to complete advanced dental assistant training through the Charlotte Area Education Center. Whether shes helping patients fit dental care into their schedules or making their experiences in the dental office more enjoyable, Kelly is an invaluable member of our team. Her warm and friendly manner make it easy for every patient to feel relaxed and right at home in our dental office. Originally from Norfolk, Kelly now lives in Monroe with her husband, Scott, and son, Easton. She enjoys playing softball, hunting, fishing, and watching football.

I am a very dedicated clinician to the Dental Health Care Profession and always give 100% to all of my wonderful patients. I love my career as a Dental Hygienist and providing quality patient care is very important and ensuring a positive dental experience for all my patients is top priority. I am very compassionate and strive to make all my patients feel comfortable and achieve a healthier smile. I am so thankful to be a part of a team that works so well together and provides a high level of care to all of our patients.

My husband Evan and I have been married for 27 years and have 2 amazing boys Hunter (age 22) and Dylan (age 19). We have recently moved to Lancaster, SC (after living in Fort Mill, SC for 25 years) where we are building a new home and lifelong Dream Farm named Silver Hill Farm. Our 23 acre dream farm consists of 2 Labradoodles, 4 Horses, 2 Mini Horses, 4 Mini Donkeys, 5 Fainting Goats, 8 Chickens and 3 Bunnies. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with Family and Friends, spending time with all my wonderful farm animals, riding horses, traveling and camping in our RV, and Boating on our Pontoon Boat.

Isabelle recently graduated from CPCCs Dental Hygiene Program and joined our team in the summer of 2021. She is happy to become part of the Strive Dental family and to meet all of our wonderful patients. Isabelles passion is making patients of all ages feel comfortable while providing them with exceptional patient-centered care. She looks forward to building continued relationships with patients within our practice. Originally from Las Vegas, Isabelle has lived in the Waxhaw area for over 10 years. She enjoys musical theatre, strength training, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dobby is Dr. Mahales 7-year-old son who is enthusiastic about creating an inviting and relaxing environment at Strive Dental. When hes not hard at work, you can find him scarfing down peanut butter or chasing squirrels in his backyard. He loves belly rubs, snuggles, and giving high fives!
