Dr. Stephen Strickland completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Birmingham Southern College in 2008 where he was the Swarna P. Sarkar Award recipient. In 2012, he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry graduating with Honors in Clinical Research. He then received his Masters Degree and Certificate in Orthodontics from University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2015 where he served as Chief Resident of the program and was awarded best Clinical Cases. Upon graduation, Dr. Stephen Strickland successfully achieved board certification through The American Board of Orthodontics.
When not in the office, Dr. Stephen Strickland enjoys spending time with his wife and high school sweetheart Ashley, his son Bennett and daughter Hayes, and their two English springer spaniels Murray and Ellie. He also enjoys playing golf and any outdoor activity.
Dr. H. L. Strickland completed his college education at Emory University in 1970 and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1974. He then entered his general dentistry residency at LSU and Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he served as Chief Resident of the program. From 1976 to 1978, he completed his post-doctoral degree as a specialist in orthodontics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Since then, he has helped over 15,000 patients toward a healthier smile and has completed over 1,400 continuing education hours.
He has served as president of the Alabama Association of Orthodontics and on the Board of Directors, chairman of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry Leadership Council as well as president of the Eastern Shore Sertoma Club. Dr. H. L. Stricklands continued support of our Baldwin County schools, through the established educational endowment funds to the school fundraising, is a high priority.
In his free time, Dr. Len Strickland enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and hiking. He also enjoys travelling with his wife, Carolyn, and is an instrument rated pilot. Dr. Strickland has 2 sons, Davis and Stephen, the latter, of course, hes in practice with!
Dr. Maggie Grissom completed her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from The University of Notre Dame. Furthering her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, Dr. Maggie graduated at the top of her class and was inducted to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. She earned her Master of Science in Dentistry and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas.

In her free time, Dr. Maggie enjoys spending time with her husband, Austyn, and their German Shephard pup, Callie! She loves reading, traveling, and anything related to her beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

As a patient of 2 years at the Fairhope location, I really enjoyed going. The staff is extremely kind, and always smiling! They always explained what to expect when any changes were made to my braces. Recommend 10/10!!!!

Strickland Orthodontics has years of experience and a great reputation for the service and results you want. I am a 76 year old lady who was beginning to show symptoms of probable TMJ. Invitation trays were suggested for treatment which I started 8 weeks ago. I had no TMJ symptoms after 2 weeks of wearing the trays! Yay! Tomorrow is my first checkup. Looking forward to hearing what Dr. Strickland thinks about the movement of my teeth.

I love this place! I had an emergency issue with my braces. I am from out of town and they took my in as if I was an existing patient. Completely caring and explained what happened to my braces. Fixed the problem and I was on my way. If I lived in the area - this would be MY place to go for orthodontic work. Everyone from the staff at the front desk - to the staff working on my teeth and even Dr. Strickland came out to check on me. Amazing. Professional and "can do" attitude place. I wish I could give them 6 stars! Teamwork at its best. Thank you!

Absolutely love the staff and Dr. Stephen! Very thorough, very precise, and professional! My daughter hated going to her other orthodontist where we used to live, and now that she's getting hers off soon she's upset she won't see them anymore. Highly recommend!
