Dr. Strickland has been in private practice for over 40 years and still says theres nothing in the world hed rather be doing for a living. Hes a native Texan who grew up in a small town near Nacogdoches.
He earned his honors degree in Biology at Stephen F. Austin University and then his doctorate at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. In addition to maintaining his private practice in The Woodlands area, Dr. Strickland is also a clinical professor at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston.
Ive watched many of my patients kids grow up and have kids themselves. I have quite a few 3rd generation patients and thats such a kick to me. After that many years, theyre more like good friends to me than patients. I can also have that same connection with a new patient I might see next week. Maybe someone that has had a hard time trusting a dentist due to a very bad experience and has neglected their dental needs for many years. I want to get to know them, and Ill take the time to do it. If I can help them overcome what can be a crippling fear of dental treatment to accomplish what they want and need, then Im one happy dentist. Thats what its all about for me.
Dr. Strickland is an active member of The Greater Houston Dental Society, The Texas Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, The American Dental Association, and The University of Texas School of Dentistry Alumni Association.

For someone with anxiety and scared of the dentists Dr. Strickland definitely helped me with that. He makes you feel comfortable and is very gentle with his patients. I drive from Kingwood to go see him because I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. His staff is very nice too. All around a positive, calming environment. I highly recommend him for anyone

Hands down the best dental office ever! I love and highly respect that this is not a large group practice. It is a private practice with the kindest staff and doctors. If you have dental anxiety this is the place for you. They will take care of you and not lecture you! Just go and see for yourself.

Dr. Strickland is the absolute best in the business and is the only one I will let work on my teeth. The entire staff is so nice and helpful. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, the experience is top notch. I won't go anywhere else!! They are simply AMAZING!!

As a long time patient, I can say I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Strickland is always very good about explaining what he will be doing and why, then making it as painless as possible. As someone who was afraid of the dentist growing up, I really appreciate how he can really put you at ease.

I would 100% recommended Strickland Dental! I had so much anxiety about going to the dentist that I didn't go for 10 full years. My cavities had become so uncomfortable that I decided to bite the bullet and I scheduled an appt because they're right down the street from me. I'm so glad I did! I just finished up session 3 out of 3 for fixing my cavities and Dr. Strickland made it a million times easier than I ever expected! He was very patient and constantly checked to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain. It wasn't just Dr. Strickland that made things easier, every single person I dealt with at Strickland dental was extremely friendly and made me feel so much more at ease! They're realistic about pricing and don't push unnecessary expenses on you. It ended up being way more affordable than I expected, especially since they accept Care Credit. I'm actually excited about going to the dentist now because I know I'll feel so much better afterwards!

I've been coming to see Dr. Strickland for a few years now, and am always happy with the service I receive. In addition to regular dental exams, Dr. Strickland has done an outstanding job replacing a broken front tooth with a porcelain crown, and recently has given me a root canal. Both procedures went quickly, smoothly, and left me feeling great afterwards. I've recently moved to Austin, but still make the drive to see him because of the trust built. 10/10 would recommend.
