My mission is to provide patients with a treatment environment where they feel comfortable and at home. I believe it is vital to work collaboratively with my patients, so I want them to be honest with me about their dental treatment goals and know that I am here to help them achieve those goals without judgment. I am dedicated to helping my patients maintain the smile they have always dreamed of having through oral health education, proper preventative care, and routine treatment. I truly believe that changing a persons smile can change a persons life. Every smile has a history, and with the right treatment and maintenance, every smile can have a future!
Dr. Giacomini is from Springfield, Illinois. She moved to southern Illinois for school and has been there ever since! Dr. Giacomini loves her family and friends and enjoys spending as much time with them as possible. In her spare time, Dr. Giacomini enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her boyfriend, who is also a dentist! Dr. Giacominis best friend is her dog, Dolly, a 4 -year-old pit bull-terrier mix rescue who loves playing frisbee outside!

I have tried to come to this office several times and this morning I got here for my scheduled appointment for them to tell me they dropped me from my appointment slot because I didn't confirm. I don't get cell phone reception during business hours. They are closed by the time I have access to my phone. There was no email confirmation or text confirmation which would have been better options. I guess I dodged a bullet

The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating despite my tendency to run a bit late, haha. Everybody seems to know what they're doing and cleanings are extremely quick and pain free. I really, really like this practice and would absolutely recommend if you're looking for a new practitioner!

I had a cleaning with Alexis and it was great! She went over a lot of information with me and helped me understand why I was having sensitivity issues. The Dr. was also very friendly and reiterated what Alexis had already said.

Before going to Dr Sarah Giacomini, I had a rough time with a number of dentists but once I switched to her, my dental care has been night and day different! She redid my crown beautifully and quickly and everything else, such as fillings, have been the same way! Really appreciate her and the hygienists and front desk staff!

I chose Streets of St. Charles Dental for cosmetic work. The facility was nice, and the hygienist and dentist were great. My issue is with communication. I went in to get a wax-up done on my teeth and was told it would only take a few weeks. Nearly a month and a half later, I reached out because I hadn't heard anything and was told it was done. I made an appointment 3 weeks later to continue with the following steps, and an hour before my appointment, I was told the lab needed new images, and the wax-up was not done. I get mistakes are made, but for a $4,400 procedure, I expect some sort of communication or, at the very least, be honest about what happened. I requested a refund for the $90 it cost to send the wax-up, and unsurprisingly I haven't heard back. For routine cleaning it's sufficient, but I wouldn't recommend for cosmetic work.
