Whetten is the head of staff at our practice. We pride ourselves on our unique business model--delivering optimal, quality dental care to people of all ages and walks of life, while also taking a pro-active approach to dental health, through building relationships with our patients. Our practice, formerly known as the Dentist of Colorado, has been serving eastern Colorado for over twenty years. Through kindness, understanding, outstanding work and gentle touch, we have built a rapport with our many loyal patients who know they can count on us. We are proud to serve multiple generations of families in eastern Colorado, and love getting to know new patients.
Dr. Douglas Whetten is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, he was awarded the Annual Certificate of Merit by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. As a general dentist, Dr. Whetten enjoys working with children and adults and he strives to make each visit as care free and effective as possible. He takes every opportunity to expand his knowledge and expertise through continuing education and training in the latest dental procedures and techniques.Dr. Whetten cares for people and recognizes the concerns most of us share when contemplating a visit to the dentist. Because of his easy going and caring approach to dentistry, Dr. Whetten's patients enjoy a pleasant experience when visiting our office.
Dr. Whetten realizes the importance of being comfortable and informed when making treatment decisions. He takes the time to explain his recommendations and answer dental questions and concerns. He also appreciates the value that a little bit of humor can add to the process of visiting the dentist.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and going to the race track to watch her granddaughter race junior dragsters. She also enjoys cruising with her husband in their 1931 Model A or just staying home and working around the house.Julie brings a warmth and friendliness to the office that we really enjoy, and does everything she can to accommodate the individualized needs of all of our patients.
Lauren Emberty graduated with her degree in Dental Hygiene from Colorado Northwestern Community College in 2011. She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and enjoys expanding her knowledge base with continuing education courses. As a dental hygienist she loves providing individualized education and support to each of her patients.
When she does not have a dental scaler in hand, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Trevor and their three fur babies. She loves to cook, try new recipes, run, and craft. She is excited to be a member of theStrasburg Family Dental team, and loves the small hometown atmosphere.
Christina received her certificate in dental assisting from Concorde Career College in Aurora. She has been working in the dental field for several years and is excited to be working at Strasburg Family Dental.
For Christina, the most rewarding part of working in dentistry is seeing patients become more comfortable in the dental office and more confident because they have beautiful smiles. She is eager to work with each individual and bring out their best.
Christina and her husband David have a little boy named Blake, and being a mom is her favorite job. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying the great outdoors of Colorado.

In my humble opinion Skylar and the entire team are all top shelf. They put patient comfort first and are are very good at keeping the dental experience as pleasant as possible. I would recommend this practice to my friends and family and have done so. Need a good dentist don't hesitate to use this dentist. You won't be disappointed IMHO.

Amy the hygienist was amazingly gentle. Would have been 5 stars, but they had the pipes worked on and the water tasted very strong of cleaning chemicals.

I was having a problem with tooth pain, they got me in quickly to find out what it was, and were able to schedule my crown quickly. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and made the experience pleasurable.

We ve been going to location for over 12 years. Dr lee and now the Dr. Wheeten that took it over. His staff and himself have always been super friendly and has always done a stellar job with myself and my kids. Thank you for all of ur hard work and friendliness. Still impressed with all of the staff super friendly and down to earth. It is nice to know they truly love their jobs.

I can't tell you how delighted I am that my friend recommended this Dental Office to me. This was my second visit. Everyone there, treats you like an actual person. We shared stories about each others families and it felt like I was visiting old friends, both times. But, even better than that, I don't believe I can recall anyone taking the time to actually clean my teeth that thoroughly, in at least the last 15 years. This was the best cleaning I can recall having, since I was a kid, and believe me, that was a while ago! Thank you everyone at Strasburg Family Dental, for making me feel like "Family!" See you soon!
