Dr. Christopher LaTocha graduated from Mackinaw City High School in 1984. He attended Central Michigan University where he completed requirements for Pre-Dental education. While there, his emphasis of study was Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. He was then accepted to Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he completed his graduation requirements six months early.
Dr. LaTocha opened his first of three office locations in Mackinaw City in March of 1992. Mackinaw City was always home to the LaTocha family. The choice to return to the area stemmed from his love of the lakes and the desire to enjoy Michigans opportunities for hunting and fishing. Dr. LaTochas commitment to quality, as well as his extensive continuing-education background, exemplify a small town office with many advantages for patient care and state-of-the-art equipment and procedures. Dr. LaTocha has since moved his practice to Alanson, a better central location for many of his patients, while remaining close to his northern patients. In addition, Dr. LaTocha offers many procedures to the dental consumer, because he can perform many procedures that are typically offered only by specialists. His extensive continuing education in the fields of emergencies, state-of-the-art dental implants, orthodontics (braces), and options for tooth replacement, represent his commitment to evolving educational advances in the field of Dentistry.

Today is my second visit to straits area dental. First visit I was so impressed. The dentist Christopher and all the other staff are like angels. They care about you. Today was no exception. I feel great during and after the extraction. NO PAIN!! I w ill not hesitate to recommend anyone to straits area dental.

My whole family and I have been patients here for years. Straits Area Dental provides excellent care. You are treated with kindness and a genuine concern of your health and comfort. Both of my children received their orthodontics here and have beautiful smiles! The whole staff is very friendly and professional! I highly recommend Straits Area Dental.

They have the best Dentist and staff working here! I've had one dental implant done and one more to go. They really care about your systemic health also which is so crucial. I love that they are always so kind and caring. I moved up here five years ago and really missed my dentist but it was just too far to drive and see him. They explain everything really well and the office is actually a fun place to visit Love these guys!!

Went in for my tri-annual teeth cleaning. The staff explained everything every step of the procedure ( excellent ). The check-in was smooth and on time. The checkout was equally professional and quick. Highly recommend as a good dentist office to all people.

I would and have no problem with recommending Dr. Latocha and the rest of the Straights Area Dental staff. They have provided our dental care for a number of years now. I started going to his office after years of not going for dental work as a result of a extremely painful experience from a different dental office. In short- there was some issues with my teeth which needed taken care of, and they did so patiently over a number of different visits. Thank you to Doc, Linda, and the rest of the fine staff at Straights Area
