Dr. Stowers was born in Flint, Michigan and his parents relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in 1976. He received his undergraduate training from Arizona State University with a major in Biology and graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1991. Dr. Stowers then served in the United States Public Health Service as a family dentist on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming from 1991 to 1996. He returned to school to specialize in orthodontics and complete his three year post-doctorate residency at the University of Florida with a Certificate of Specialization in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree.
Dr. Stowers is a member of local, state and national dental professional Organizations, and is a retired Lieutenant Commander of the United States Public Health Service Dental Corps.(Please see Memberships and Awards for the complete listing.)

As an adult I was unsure about getting braces. Dr Stowers and the team has been incredible with me and the nuances along with getting my teeth straightened out. Open communication and a clear plan has been the best. They are incredibly personable and caring.

I can't say enough good things about Stowers. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Dr. Stowers is excellent and knows what he is doing! I have had two kids receive treatment here and both of the time frames for braces were spot on. Estimates were right on and no surprise fees! I would gladly refer friends and family.

The staff is fantastic, the ethos of the owner and his wife is not aligned with my strong feelings. If you would like to have an awkward conversation with Dr. Stowers' wife in the lobby about politics, or have your 14 year-old child be told during a pandemic that masks are not necessary, go to Dr. Stowers.

Awful!! Had to find someone real. Dr Goings much better. Ripped us off removed the braces while my daughter had surgery to bring a tooth down. Saved thousands going to Dr Goings, daughter had to have a third surgery to remove tissue. In my humble opinion he was a fraud

Best Orthodontist in Northern Colorado! My 9 year old is a current patient at Stowers Orthodontics, receiving an expander and braces. Since the first time we walked into their office, we felt very welcomed by the extremely friendly staff. Every person we have interacted with has been kind, informative and efficient while providing the best treatment available for my son. They are so sweet to my other son, who isn't a patient (yet) and always let him spin the wheel for a prize with his brother after visits. I especially love Tammy, at the front desk and look forward to seeing her when we go in. They make you feel like part of the family and it really stands out. We recommend them to others whenever we can!

Dr. Stowers is by far the best orthodontist I could have chosen for my son. They make payments easy and not stressful, the staff is absolutely amazing and friendly, and most of all, the transformation that was made from my sons original teeth- to how they look now is unreal! I would recommend them to anyone needing any kind of orthodontic treatment!
