Dr. Alicia Stoutland truly loves working with her patients and improving their dental health and self-esteem. She takes great pride in getting to know each patient and ensuring that treatment is a pleasant experience for all concerned. Dr. Stoutland is committed to providing the latest in orthodontic techniques for increased patient comfort and better treatment results.
Dr. Stoutland grew up outside of Annapolis, Maryland, and she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland College Park. She then earned her dentistry degree from the University of Maryland Dental School, where she was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Stoutland completed a one year General Practice Residency at the Philadelphia VA Hospital. She then completed a three year Orthodontic Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, where she was involved in cleft lip and palate research.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, and the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, as well as being a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Stoutland resides in West Chester with her husband Brett and their two kids. They are frequent runners, enjoy being active, and love spending time with their miniature schnauzer, Abbie.
Dr. Hayes is in the full-time clinical practice of orthodontics in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania and Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, as well as a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Hayes attended the University of South Carolina, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his D.D.S. with honors from the Medical College of Virginia, where he was also awarded a National Institutes of Health Fellowship to study Genetics. Upon completing a three year residency in orthodontics, he entered on active military duty in the United States Army, rising to the rank of Major.
Dr. Hayes is a co-holder of a US patent in cardiac technology, was a charter member of the MCV Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation, and has served as an advisor to Medelex, Inc. since 1994. He has authored or co-authored publications in several dental journals, and has lectured to dental groups both in the US and abroad.

Dr. Stoutland is one of the most amazing people you could ever meet. Her countenance and personality is infectious. She is a true professional. You feel her passion exude from her during each visit. Every time I met with her I was greeted with a warm smile (even under a mask) and she referenced something happening in my life as, if we were old friends. She is someone I would trust with all of my family members. I currently live in Virginia and will continue to drive to Pennsylvania just to be a patient at her practice. If I happen to have children in the future, they will be her patients as well. Dr. Stoutland is called to be a doctor. It's natural for her. In addition to Dr. Stoutland, Jen is family to me. She has been in this field for 25 years!! She could perform tasks blind-folded. When I arrive, I hope she is working that day just so I can converse with her and catch up on life. She has made this process easy and pain-free. I'm blessed to have crossed paths with Jen. In regards to the staff, it doesn't matter which technician ends up working on you. They are all EXTREMELY qualified and knowledgeable. They are kind and patient. They explain EVERYTHING they do before making any moves on your teeth. Stoutland and Hayes runs like a well oiled machine. They keep up with technology. The front-facing (Diane and Deirdre) staff go out of their way to be kind and ensure that each person that walks through the door feels comfortable and safe. Kayla, Amanda, Kait, are phenomenal! Great experience with my treatment here at Stoutland. The entire staff is very warm and welcoming and treats you like a family. Doctors are thorough with their work and will help you achieve the best results. I definitely recommend anyone looking for orthodontic adjustments to checkout out their office.

My both kid's got their Invisalign and brace's here! I am soo happy I choose them , very friendly and kind staff never had any issue regarding scheduling appointments or visitations.They respond quick and excellent communication .

This orthodontist office is ran better than any Dr., or dental office I have been to in years! The team work and attention to detail is top notch! The few times we needed an emergency appointment, they worked us right in and fixed the problem! These ladies no doubt, are the best of the best!

The staff at Stoutland and Hayes is friendly and professional. Appts are always quick and efficient. Office is clean, and updated. They have a great reward program for the patients to keep up with their ortho habits. I would recommend this office to everyone.

Dr Stoutland and Hayes is the Best. They have a variety of options for a different situations. I had multiple crooked teeth and an underbite. In 2 years my underbite was gone thanks to Dr. Stoutland and Dr. Hayes. My teeth look way better. The result would've been way different if we chose a different orthodontist.
