Dr. Chung believes that a good smile comes from the heart. It is because of this belief, Dr. Chung dedicates his life to making people smile, and in this way, creating confidence in people that will last a lifetime.
From the first moment you meet Dr. Chung, you will find that he is a truly caring doctor. As a result of him growing up in Taiwan, South Africa and then the United States, he realized that everybody is different, and treats everybody as individuals with compassion.
Dr. Chung earned a Bachelor of Science degree Summa Cum Laude in Biochemistry and Biochemical Pharmacology with a minor in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1997. He then completed his Dental Degree at the University at Buffalo in 2001. During dental school Dr. Chung was an excellent student, as he participated in various research projects and internships, His internships included providing oral surgery at Buffalo General Hospital and Erie Community Medical Center, as well as pediatric dentistry at the Buffalo Woman and Childrens Hospital.
After graduation, Dr. Chung was accepted as a resident to Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where he treated patients who are medically complex, and also provided emergency dental service at the emergency room of the medical center. He continuously supplements his knowledge by attending numerous continuing education classes. He is well trained in cosmetic dentistry, preventative dentistry as well as invisible braces and nitrous oxide sedation.
After several years in private practice, Dr. Chung and his wife, Dr. Julia Yang, decided to open their first practice in Quincy, MA. Four years later, they opened their second practice in Stoughton, MA.
Dr. Yang earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1999. After working as a general dentist in private practice for two years, she decided to specialize in Periodontics by attending Boston University School of Dental Medicine. During school she obtained numerous awards and was the top graduating student in her class. In 2006, Dr. Yang graduated and also earned a Doctor of Science degree for her research thesis. Since then she has been practicing in numerous dental offices, specializing in periodontics and dental implants. In 2006 Dr. Yang earned the highest distinction given to a periodontist by becoming board certified.
Dr. Yang is a proud member of the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Yang also holds dental licenses in 4 countries and 3 states. She has authored numerous articles with regards to periodontics in many respected journals.

I had a very thorough cleaning yesterday. My hygienist is a perfectionist who did a great job and made sure I was comfortable. I have been going to SFD for about 4 years now and only have good things to say about it.

I haven't been to dentist in years. Called yesterday at 4:50 because of a tooth ache, they took me at 1:30 today. The staff and Dr we're awesome. FYI the dentist I and my family have used for 25 years still hasn't returned my call. Stoughton Family Dental

The minute you walk in everybody is kind polite I'm older gone to few dentist but this one here is special they are very kind I would bring anybody over there I thank God for the dentist she kind most importantly she explains everything that she is going to do or doing it as she goes along thank God I thank God.

I want to share how impressed I have been with my visits to Stoughton Family Dental, Stoughton Ma. I was reluctant to try a new dentist after my last dentist of 30 years retired. Hard for me not to compare and expect nothing less than great dentistry. Well, I can now see myself sticking with Stoughton Family Dental for many years to come.

The staff at this facility is awesome. The receptionist greeted everyone, always with a smile. The hygienist and dentist were very professional and took great care as they performed the procedures. So far, I am Happy with the service provided at this office.

I would highly recommend this practice to anyone afraid of getting any dentistry work performed ! Dr. Xeuying Zhao, her wonderful dental hygienist and the friendly ladies working the front desk were AMAZING! All around positive experience!

I am an older woman who hasn't been to a dentist in years. I am always apprehensive because I have had some really bad experiences in the past. As soon as I went in the receptionist greeted me. I had already been told over the phone how much my portion would cost, so no surprises. I love that! The receptionist was very warm and friendly. The dental assistant cleaned my teeth and didn't hurt me once! Love that too! If it's too painful of an experience I tend to not go back. When the dentist came in I got nervous all over again. He was very gentle (even when using that metal pick that we all love) I did wince a couple of times and he immediately stopped to make sure I was okay. He never got annoyed with me or talked down to me ( as other dentists have). I highly recommend Stoughton Family Dental and Dr. CHUNG. I will be going back again and hopefully I will take care of the teeth that I have left from now on!

Had an excellent visit today! Dr Zhao did a great job on repairing my broken tooth. She takes her time. I am not rushed out, and she sincerely cares about her patients! Very glad I found this office! If you live in or near Stoughton, give them a try, you will be happy you did!

Had a tooth fracture on Saturday. I called Stoughton Family Dental. They saw me on Monday. I must say I was more than impressed from the beginning with the staff on the phone. Set up everything via text before my visit . Very responsive and efficient. Dental assistant very nice and knowledgeable. Dr. Chung took his time explaining my options. Getting crown after discussing with him. I scheduled to come back next week for my full X-rays and cleaning with Fluoride. They handle everything. So helpful and kind. Highly recommend Stoughton Family Dental! They put a smile on my face.

They're super friendly, quick and very thorough. Dr. Zhao did a fabulous job on my cleaning and answered all of my questions and took her time. Everyone who I have referred here is extremely satisfied. They go above and beyond to accommodate their patients. I also had a Gingivectomy with Dr. Yang last year and the results were amazing. They're honest and no nonsense.

I have been looking for a great dentist in my area for quite some time. Years ago I used to go to Boston University Dental but because they are a distance away from me I had to find somewhere new. I am so happy that I came across Stoughton Family Dental and to my surprise they are affiliated with BU Dental! From my first visit and each visit after that it's been an absolute pleasure coming into the office. Karman is amazing! She makes me feel so welcomed, is so personable and makes a point to come and speak with me every visit. Everyone from Dr. Zhao, Farah, Sandy, the dental hygienists, the dental coordinators and interns have provided me with such great care, I know I made the right choice with Stoughton Family Dental! I highly recommend them for you and your family's dental needs!!!
