I wont hit a home run with every visit, but I can promise that Ill do my best to make it right if I ever strike out. Outside of work I like spend time with my wife, Kimberly, and our son, Brayden. My favorite activities with Brayden include playing with mega blocks, giving him his bath, and rocking him to sleep. Hi, my name is Clint Miller and I am one of the dentists at Storybook Smiles. I am super blessed to have a job that I love coming to each and every day! I have a medical background, having worked as a physician assistant for years before pursuing dentistry, and I often incorporate that skill set into treatment decisions when needed. My faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation I have relied on in all aspects of life, from working with the families at Storybook Smiles to my own family at home. I have been married for over 20 years to my wife, Elise, and we have 2 kiddos, Hannah and Jackson. When I am not at work, I love spending time with family and friends. Some of my favorite activities include gardening, swimming, hiking, kayaking, fishing and camping.
Hi, my name is Lucy and I am a Dental Hygienist at Storybook Smiles. I clean teeth and educate little ones and their parents on the importance of brushing/flossing and how their diet affects their oral health. I desire to see each of my patients be fearless and show off their beautiful smiles after a cleaning. My ultimate goal is for them to understand the importance of good oral habits at home so they can be proud of their smiles for a lifetime. I was born and raised in Jacksonville where I still live around my family. I graduated from Tyler Junior College where I obtained my Associates and Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. I am the oldest of my siblings and an aunt to two cute little nieces. On my time off, I enjoy going to baseball games, especially in Arlington to watch the Texas Rangers play! One thing that people might not know about me is that I am an adrenaline junkie. I love going to six flags and sky diving has been the scariest, but funnest, thing Ive done so far! Next up, bungee jumping!
Hello, my name is Nickie. I have been a pediatric dental hygienist for over 17 years. In March of 2020 I had the great joy of joining the Storybook Smiles team and I have found an even bigger love for pediatric dental care. I am given an opportunity every day to live out my passion by providing the very best care in a fun, engaging environment. Pediatric dentistry is where my heart is! I truly treasure coming to work every day and seeing all the sweet, smiling faces! I enjoy the privilege of teaching our patients and parents about their oral health and how to make good nutritional choices that will keep their teeth and body healthy for a lifetime! I am a graduate from Tyler Junior College Dental Hygiene Program, at which I had the privilege of going back and teaching future Dental Hygiene students for 8 years. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family (especially my grandbabies), cooking, and living on the lake. I also love crafting of any kind! If any activity involves a glue gun, painting, or making/shopping for something fun for the holidays, and you can count me in! I am a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association, Texas Dental Hygiene Association, Texas Dental Hygiene Educators Association, and the National Dental Hygiene Honor Society. I am also a proud Tyler Junior College Dental Hygiene Gold Lifetime Alumni Member! I like to say I went from childrens feet to childrens teeth. Back in the day, I owned and operated a childrens shoe store called Shoeland.
Hey there! My name is Caitlen, Im the Lead Patient Care Associate here at Storybook Smiles. Some of my roles include: assisting with treatment, charting for Dr. Patrick and Dr. Miller, and taking super cool x-rays that our kiddos love to check out! Before I found my employment home at Storybook Smiles, I worked at a general dentist office where I got my first dose of pediatric patients, which sparked my love for pediatric dentistry! When Im not at work I love to spend quality time with my family. I have three nieces and two nephews, whom I adore! I often take them toy shopping and there is never a dull moment in the car while belting out K-LOVE on the radio! I enjoy time with my mom; she is my best friend and we do everything together. We especially love cooking, although most of the time my mom is the main chef and act as the sous chef. I also enjoy baking & watching my fair share of Netflix shows. I cant wait to see you at the office soon!
Hey, my name is Tori and Im a Patient Care Associate at Storybook Smiles. I help bring patients back to their rooms, take their x-rays, and assist our wonderful doctors with charting. One of my dreams has always been to become a dental assistant. I got my big break in 2018 when I started as a hygiene assistant. After two years at that office, I gained skills that helped me transition to Storybook Smiles. I love my job & I love what I do. I really appreciate Dr. Patrick and Dr. Miller for giving me the opportunity to make my dreams come true. I wanted to be a dental assistant because I wanted to be able to help patients gain self esteem to show off their smile and be one of reasons that patients love coming to the dentist. I try my best to help every little heart that walks into the dental office overcome their fear of the dentist. My favorite saying is Im not here to hurt you, I promise Im not..I just need you to trust me and its works..most of the time. I enjoy reading, writing poems, hanging out with my family, cooking, taking trips & catching up on reality T.V. shows. I love spending time with my two daughters, pampering them at the nail salon, getting their hair done, or picking out something nice to wear for our mommy-daughter dates.
Hi yall! Im September, my role at Storybook Smiles is a Patient Care Associate. My favorite part of my job is seeing children become comfortable in the office and enjoying their visit. My job consists of x-rays, charting for our awesome doctors, assisting in treatment and sterilizing instruments to give patients the safest visit possible. Im known as the querky one around the office. You might see me skipping down the hallway or singing along with the Disney movies playing. Outside of work, I am involved in the childrens ministry at Dayspring Methodist Church where I teach Sunday School. I also enjoy writing childrens books and I currently have two awaiting illustration! Prior to attending dental assistant school I worked in the special education program for Bullard ISD where I found my love for working with children with special needs. I have two dogs, Pecos and Flash, whom I spend the rest of my free time spoiling! Fun fact about me: I LOVE riddles. If you have a cleaver riddle, please share it with me and I will try to solve it before the end of your visit!
Hi! Im Danya and I am a Patient Care Associate. Most of the time you can find me in one of our amazing treatment rooms assisting our doctors. I have the joy of bringing patients back, getting them comfortable and all set for treatment. I knew, deep in my heart, I needed to work with children. I spent one day working with adult patients and knew I could never go back. I truly enjoy working with kids; they are sweet, yet honest, and make me smile with the things they say. I have become a master of distraction, helping my patients overcome their fear of the dentist. Fun fact! When Storybook Smiles was in the making I happen to be eating in a near by restaurant, I pointed out the office to my husband and told him Ill be working there some day. Fast forward time, I am now working in my DREAM job! When Im not at work, my husband and I spend all the time we can outside with our daughter. I enjoy crafting, and especially painting with acrylics, which I now get to do with my daughter.
One of the biggest reasons that Dr. Patrick ended up in a dental profession was the tremendous opportunity to give back. He was active throughout dental school in many different ways. Give Kids a Smile and Texas Mission of Mercy are two of his favorite local volunteer events. His mission trips to Guatemala allowed him to put his training to good use outside of the country. During his trips to Guatemala as a student and then as a pediatric dentist, a special bond was formed between his heart and those children and adults he was able to see. That is why a portion of the proceeds of Storybook Smiles goes to support the children in Guatemala every year. So, when you bring your child in to see us, you can grin knowing that you are helping give someone a happy, healthy Storybook Smile thousands of miles away!
