Dr. Walter Kostrzewski graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1992 and went on to continue his studies at University Hospital at Stony Brook, which placed an emphasis on treating the medically compromised and FEARFUL patients. Dr. K, as his patients andcolleagues know him, continued to quench his thirst for dental education and has satisfied hundreds of hours of continuing education. In 2000 and 2001, Dr. K completed the entire continuum at PAC-Live, the nations premiere, hands-on live patient continuing education program. He is a Fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics (IADFE), a select of group of individuals who are committed to the pursuit of excellence through continuing interdisciplinary education in the field of facial esthetics. Dr. K also achieved fellowship in the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics (ACE), a highly regarded credentialing process designed to evaluate dental professionals who are committed to advanced learning, attention to detail, and clinical excellence.
Dr. K was a clinical instructor at the prestigious Hornbrook Group in Chicago, where he trained other dentists in cosmetic dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation. In addition to his affiliation with the Hornbrook Group, Dr. K speaks nationally in front of his peers, has published numerous articles featured in dental journals such as Dental Town, The Crown Council, and the Dental Leader. Dr. K also consults and teaches with major dental manufacturers, as well as dental laboratories who all value his extensive knowledge of the dental industry.
Also known as Coach K, he has a flair for creating passionate teams! In 2000, Coach K founded The Winning Dentist, a team of consultants to help others develop passionate teams, functional work systems, and provide motivation and congruent marketing. In addition to his numerous published articles, Coach K recently authored a resource manual Creating Passionate Aesthetic Dental Teams. This publication is designed to aid dentists, office managers, and their counterparts how to create their own winning team. His forthcoming book Leading and Developing the Ultimate TEAM will be available in the Spring of 2018. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. K is an avid skier and golfer, depending on the season, and a hockey player and coach. Despite playing for 40 years now, including college hockey in the ECAC/S while at Villanova, he has yet to lose a tooth! Dr. K has three boys Luke, Alex and Aiden. Happily married to Kristen. They play golf together regularly. In the winter months, they ski and work out together, and are learning ballroom dance.

Wow! I loathe going to the dentist but Dr. K and his team are absolutely wonderful. I had a root canal done and was it was painless. The technique they use in this office is amazing, I never felt the injection and I was numb almost instantly. The whole experience has been great. Now going to the dentist isn't the end of the world ! Highly recommended. the hygienist that did my cleaning was also amazing and gentle. I highly recommend.

Good experience overall. They were always upfront about anything that may not be covered by insurance, which is amazing. The cleaning I good was well done.

I have met a lot of dentists and specialists between going for my own teeth and working in the dental field myself. Dr. K and his staff are literally the BEST. Personally I've never had such a great experience. You are always welcomed in, explained everything to in detail and given the utmost best care in any situation you're in. No fear, no pain, and I actually enjoy going to the dentist finally! My parents and husband also go here and we wouldn't go anywhere else. Best dentist in Connecticut!!

I am terrified of the dentist and expect to be in pain. I got a crown and several fillings and had no pain. Dr. K is a miracle worker and his staff will make sure you're taken care of.

I hadn't been to the dentist in many years. I was worried but excited to get the proper care again. Everyone was so welcoming and nice. The facility was very clean and Dr. K was great!

My adult son had 1) severe tooth decay from years of neglect, and 2) extreme fear/anxiety about dentistry. We thought his teeth would all have to be pulled and replaced with dentures or implants. Dr K was able to see that his roots were still in good shape, so root canal work + crowns was appropriate. They did the work under sedation, which my son needed - he never could have been awake for this. He now has a nice smile and can't stop looking at it in the mirror. The effect this has on his happiness is simply amazing - maybe even life changing. I can't say enough about the great work that Dr. K and his team did. They were excellent!!

Wonderful care. They are so kind snd helpful. Dr K gives the easiest novocaine shots. You don't even feel it. Spa treatment at the end of the visit with a warm lavender towel applied to your face. I avoided dentists for a long time. Not anymore

I have been going to their office for 10+ years, and can't say enough about the quality, service and compassionate care I receive in each visit. The Dentists and staff are personable, professional and knowledgeable, and they always manage to squeeze me in, to a late appointment, when I have what to me, is a mini-dental crisis. I was there yesterday, and was amazed at all the COVID precautions they have taken. I felt totally safe, in a time when we are all worried. I should also mention, that this office is one of the few, in Connecticut, that caters to "overly anxious" and "needle phobic" patients, (both of which I am) with conscious sedation, which is what originally drew me to their office. I am lucky to have found them and since, have not feared going to the dentist, which I did for years. I strongly recommend them to anyone who is apprehensive about dental treatments.
