We found Stony Brook Orthodontics - Dr. Segal - while searching for a second opinion after a previous orthodontist wanted my daughter to get a herbst appliance and a few teeth pulled. My daughter was so frightened from that idea and was now terrified to get braces. From the first appointment with Dr. Segal and his amazing staff, we knew we wanted to use them. Dr. Segal was so nice and took away all her fears. Just over two years her braces are off and she has the most amazing smile! Her teeth look absolutely beautiful and needed no teeth pulled. Each appointment was a wonderful experience. The staff is amazing and so friendly! I would highly recommend them!

I came to Dr. Segal for my second round of braces after a bad experience at a different office 7 years ago. Thanks to Dr. Segal and his eye for detail, I finally have the smile of my dreams. He always takes his time and explains what he is doing and I always feel comfortable there. You will never find a staff as friendly and accommodating. They always work around my busy schedule and he even came to the office on his day off once to have me in since I go away for college and come in between breaks. I would definitely recommend Stony brook Orthodontics to anyone looking to improve their smile!

Dr. Segal is the greatest orthodontist! He is such a perfectionist, and willing to go above and beyond to make his patients teeth look their best. He is always ready for appointments at the times they're scheduled for. And Traci is absolutely wonderful! She took care of everything with our Insurance, is always so helpful and so nice! I have recommended Stony Brook Orthodontics to all my friends whose children need braces, and they think they're awesome also!

Agree with all the other reviews - he's the best, and a perfectionist. I came to him with quite a challenge as an adult, and he met all my expectations. He is gentle, concerned, professional, and produces a great outcome! You will be very happy. Also, an important factor for me when choosing a provider, is that his office staff and assistants are fantastic as well. They are all pleasant and scheduling with Traci is a breeze. Billing is accurate, as well as correspondence with insurance - that's another issue for me.

I absolutely adore every person in this office. My daughter has autism and Dr.Segal and his staff are hands down the nicest, most passionate, patient people ever. What I thought would be impossible was so easy. I highly recommend this office for all your orthodontic needs. My daughters teeth look absolutely beautiful!!!

Amazing Practice. Accepts NYPD insurance. Dr. Segal is a true master of his craft and takes the time to explain his treatment in depth. The staff are outstanding and make you feel part of their family. My kids have been going there for the last few years. Let me say perfection, my kids teeth were all over the place at the start of treatment and in a short time Dr Segal had the teeth perfectly straight. We could Not be Happier :)
