Dr. Lann is a native Texan. He grew up in Houston, Texas and attended the University of Houston where he received his Bachelors of Science in Biology in 1991. He then attended The University of Texas Health Science Center At Houston Dental Branch where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995. Dr. Lann has been practicing dentistry in Round Rock since 1995. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and the Capital Area Dental Association. Other memberships include the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Lann is a leader in his community as he sponsors various youth activities. He has sponsored the McNeil High School Cheerleaders, McNeil FFA, the Brushy Creek Marlins, the Round Rock High School Marching Bandand the Round Rock High School Cheerleaders. Dr. Lann strives to provide the most up to date dentistry byusing state of the art technology andbeing involved and attending ongoing continued education classes. He is a father of five children four boys and one girl.
Christina General Office Manager Christina was raised in the small town of Lexington, Texas. She graduated from Austin Dental Careers in 1995 as a dental assistant. Christina has been working with Dr. Lann since 1996. She enjoys going to work each day to help our patients have a great dental experience. When not at work, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids, and her two dogs. She also has a love of reading, shopping, boating, and watching movies with her family.
Cheryl Front Office Administrator Cheryl was born and raised in Pacifica, California, a small coastal town in the San Francisco Bay Area. Having grown up in the self-proclaimed foggiest city in the United States, she appreciates the Austin sunshine and has enjoyed living here since 2006. Cheryl earned a Masters degree from California State University, Sacramento, and has worked in the field of Social Work until recently. As a mother of three boys, she stays busy with her childrens sports and school activities. Her family enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, swimming, gardening, and playing with their Maltipoo pup, Sandy. Because of her familys hectic lifestyle, Cheryl jokes that coming to work is her leisure time! She delights in interacting with our patients, greeting each and every one with a smile! She is happy to be here to assist you with your dental questions.

I've been going to Dr Lann for the last three years. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. His hygienists do an amazing job cleaning my teeth. At the end of cleaning, Dr Lann always comes in and does a thorough evaluation letting me know what to look out for. I feel confident that I'm getting the best dental care in Round Rock.

All around the best dentistry service I have had. Friendly service from the front desk and kudos to dental assistant, Shiba. Can't say enough praise about D. lann; he is a genius. Great work on my teeth and some advise on my nighttime teeth grinding that saved me from agonizing pain.Thank you for the great service to the entire staff there.

UPDATE..as of 03.02.2020..this visit, dr John Lann fixing my crown from my last few weeks of my root canal from my endodontic. I do appreciated the work and the caring from dr. John. THANK YOU! from a HAPPY customer I came to John F. Lann DDS (dentistry/owner) from my dis-honest wrongful billing to my great insurance + messed up my appt along w/ the rest of my family members. Dr John Lann & his office keep communication between us and my dental insurance promptly. All my dental works seems to be going great w/ dr John & his office for my last 3 years now. I do recommending to this office but be up front of what your expectations and he can help you.

I made an appointment today to get regular cleaning. The whole checkup took almost TWO hours, including half an hour for 18 X-ray photos (very old technique) taking by the assistant, around 40mins probing to the teeth by the assistant, 10mins checkup by the dentist. The dentist evaluates that my teeth are ok, while the assistant insists I need deep cleaning. Finally, I was told that they can only provide deep cleaning for me, and since my checkup time was already due, they refused to make regular cleaning for me this time, however, the assistant pushed me several times to come back to get the deep cleaning soon in the afternoon. My insurance covers the regular cleaning, though. I feel upset after so long time had passed for this appointment, yet nothing essential was done ( only checking) as I expected to simply to get my teeth cleaned. I would never waste time to be back to this place.

No Pain Ever! I've been to a lot of dentists over the years. I've had dental issues since I was a little girl. Dr. Lann is just incredible. Here's what he does: He first explains what's going to happen, he then proceeds through the procedure basically imperceptibly, letting you know what's happening, including any sounds or feeling you might be experiencing, thoroughly explaining those along the way. I work in a doctors office and know it takes advanced social skills along with a high level of expertise in your field in order to give this level of service. I would recommend him to anyone. The only thing that would make it perfect would be if they were open Friday afternoons when I am also off.
