Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

This office has been amazing and patient! I first discovered this office when i came here for my dental asst extern and they were so patient and kind with me as well as their patients who were so understanding. It was one of the most friendly and awesome work experiences ive ever had. As far as their actual dental work; theyre awesome. Ive spent the last 7 yrs in the military with some questionable practices. Theyve tried non aggressive approaches to what other dentists have tried to push on me for money. Theyre here for the patients and not the money. I could not recommend this office anymore than i have now. Front office, back office, the assistants, the ortho and ortho team and everyone else in the office truly amazing!

I had a pretty bad experience here. I had a regular dentist in Switzerland, and then signed up with Stonecrest when I moved here. The nurse needed to take an extra 8 x-rays because she kept missing. Then, during the checkup Dr. Patel said that I needed a crown or at least an onlay on a molar. My previous dentist had not recommended any work on that tooth, and when I sought a second opinion from another San Diego dentist, they also did not recommend any work on that tooth. They couldn't even guess which tooth Dr. Patel had suggested the crown for! Dr. Patel also recommended some kind of a light treatment for inflamed gums. For $80 (out of coverage), the hygenist literally spent 120 seconds with a little red fiber optic light. The hygenist cleaning didn't feel very thorough. This might just be a case of a 'different school of thought,' but I don't know... I feel like they are over-treating.

This place used to be awesome. Everybody was super friendly and created a welcome environment. It was amazing enough that I was willing to drive down from Temecula just for my dental needs, but recently, something changed and their customer service has taken a sharp nosedive. Failure to return calls, and cancelling appointments with less than hour notice despite receiving a confirmation of appointment less than an hour before they called to cancel. Had I called to cancel my appointment, they would have charged me $100 for it, but when they no-notice cancel, it's just all "sucks to be you" Avoid if possible.

I would not go here if I were you. Every thing that I have had done has either fallen apart or been done incorrectly. Including onlays and a crown, two expensive things. I had a crown placed by them and went back multiple times to tell them it was hurting my other tooth and that it felt wrong, they "shaved it down" and did not recheck anything correctly. Come to find out, the crown was never seated correctly which is why it was causing pain to the tooth in front of it and I am now having to pay for an entirely new crown by a more competent provider. In addition, they left the gum pushing strings in my gums the last time I was there and they were less than apologetic about it. Avoid this place if you can.

Our family went to Stonecrest Dental for a few years, until recently when we had a terrible experience. We brought my father-in-law here to receive denture treatment, and first, we were quoted for only the most expensive dentures (not the ones that were covered by his insurance). Next, when my father-in-law went in for oral surgery, a TOOTH was missed during the procedure. He then had to set-up another appointment with their Oral Surgeon in order to get the final tooth removed. Finally, when the $2K temporary dentures were ready to be placed, they did not fit at all. They had to be re-sent multiple times to a lab which caused even more delays (over the course of several weeks) in my father-in-law's healing and treatment. The whole process and experience was very traumatic for our family member, and Stonecrest was not willing to work with us on any sort of refund. Their suggestion was that we move forward with getting permanent dentures as these would allegedly fit better, even though it had been months without any practice using dentures since they never could get the temporary ones to fit. Why would we trust this place and spend even more money after all that my father-in-law had been through? After getting a second opinion, it was found that Stonecrest failed (after 4 attempts) to get a proper mold of his gums which is what led to the poorly fitting temporary dentures. We ultimately went to another dentist for a whole new set of temporary and permanent dentures which fit great the first time. I would not recommend this place at all.

This place is great! I have got done complex orthodontic work done at this place and it has been an amazing experience. My dentist, Dr. Patel, is simply amazing! She makes us feel welcome. Her staff, specifically Faye, is also incredible. All in all a great experience and we recommend this facility.

I've been knowing this location since last year, and the front staff is lovely. The manager Faith has such a warm heart, very patient and understanding. She is an incredible manager and people can tell the way she communicates not only with patients, like myself but with her staff. Melody is such a sweet heart and very nice person that I like talking to her about life in general. Lastly, Dr. Desiree since I met her she is highly approachable professional staff. She is making my experience there welcoming each time just like all her staff in the back are such hard workers making their patients have that confident smile. They are awsome, and each time the office has my trust to keep going on for more appointments to come. AND we cannot forget about Dr. Patel, I enjoy the short conversations I get a laugh in there every now and then when I see her, SHE IS FUNNY!

Very professional group of folks! I was at ease during both my visits and have already recommended Stonecrest to others and will continue to do so. Dr. Patel is a perfectionist and made me the perfect cap. ...I can smile again! Fe, the Hygenist, was just great. Very happy with Alex and Melody at the receptionist desk and Shareef (sic) and the ladies who also helped me were all personable. Yep, I give them all A+++

SO FAR, SO GREAT! I have visited Dr. Patels clinic a few times now and each time she has listened, and given reasonable, knowledgeable advice. Her care has been great no complaints. She is really kinda and I would recommend her to my own family. I'm going to pick up my antibiotics in the morning that she has prescribed for me. Thanks Dr. Patel !

Another shout out to the great folks at Stonecrest Dental. Today was literally the final crown in what has been the best root canal experience I've ever had with a dental group. (Special thanks to Pamela, who put on my final crown today. Absolutely awesome!) Just to reiterate & highlight, I had no pain during my dental procedures for the first time in my life! And what made it an exceptional experience was their customer service. They knew me on sight, greeted me by name, seemed genuinely pleased to see me, listened to me, and made sure I knew exactly what was going on and what to expect. Dr. Patel, her staff, and her contractors were very caring and gentle. I travel from L.A. because I've never had better dental care. I've found my found my dental care provider for life.

I've been a patient at Stonecrest Dental for over 10 years. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Patel - she is a wonderful dentist. She recently gave me a CEREC crown and she treated me so well and her work was excellent! I'm very grateful for all the work she has done for me, her artistry, kindness, and commitment to pleasing her patients.

I have been visiting the dentist every 6 months for my entire life ever since I can remember. I joined the military and went through many nightmare experiences with navy dental. I got out of the navy, came to this office, and expected a pleasant surprise. I was sorely mistaken. This was the absolute worst dentist visit I have ever received. Prior to this, I had a root canal, 3 separate wisdom tooth surgeries with no anesthesia, and even allowed teenage dental assistant externs to do my cleanings, and have still never had a WORSE dental experience than the simple cleaning I received from Dr. Patel. Was legitimately shocked by how bad it was. Whoever is in charge of this office should be professionally embarrassed. Avoid this place at all costs, especially if you're paying out of pocket. Not worth the money.

If you can afford to pay $1120 for 1/2 hours so called " deep cleaning" or $560 consultation between dentist and endodontist which they are working in the same office, go ahead they will well take care of your pocket :(
