Dentistry is my true passion in life. When Im not in the office, I still think about it! I have been given the great opportunity to change peoples lives in a positive way through this great profession. I take this responsibility very seriously and strive every day to provide the highest quality of care with a special consideration for each patients individual needs. Giving people the confidence to smile is such an amazing gift, and Im thankful to my patients for placing their trust in me and my team.
I am very passionate about being the best dentist I can, and constantly try to improve my skills and expand my services through continuing education. I have taken hundreds of hours of continuing education in implant dentistry. This enables me to keep all of our implant procedures in-house, which is convenient for the patients.
I am also certified in IV sedation, a rarity among general dentists. I continue my education because I truly enjoy learning about new procedures and being able to provide these services to my patients.
In addition to continuing my education, I was also involved in education and training of future dentists. Prior to moving back to Puyallup I was the director for the Regional Initiatives in Dental Education in Colville, WA.
When Im not in the office, I can be found with my wife, Tazzmarie, my two sons, Robby and Ty, and our chocolate lab, Zoey. My free time is spent staying active and exploring the beautiful Washington landscape.
Thanks to all of you for the kindness and support given me throughout my front teeth implant adventure. I felt like I had my own personal cheerleading squad from start to finish. Being part of the dental study group gave me an insight to the procedure I may otherwise have missed out on. Plus, I met some fun people along the way!
Thank you for being such a great office I came in on the 23rd to get my cavity filled and I am a Big Baby!! I cried and your sweet assistant held my hand and even offered her lunch to me to settle my stomach afterwards! Amazing staff! Amazing hearts! Great work, Bill!
When I was a child I dreaded going to the dentist. The smell of the office, the sound of the drills, the less-than-friendly staff made my early dental visits less than enjoyable. Because of these experiences the idea of getting my teeth cleaned or a cavity fixed filled me with dread even as I became an adult. However, after being referred to Dr. Wiggins in 1999, my expectations during my dental visits have completely changed.
Going to the dentist was never an easy experience for me until I met Dr. Bill and his wonderful staff. It still isn't on my Top Fun Things to do List ... but I must say, that I deeply appreciate the sincere and gentle care that Im given every time I walk into his office. No matter what your age ... Dr. Bills team is there to make your experience as good as possible and I would highly recommend them to everyone needing dental care! Thank you, Dr. Bill, for being my personal dentist ... Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated with the field of dentistry. I believe it is the perfect blend of art and science, which were my two favorite subjects in school. Frequent innovations in research and technology make dentistry a very exciting and challenging field, one which I am proud to be a part of. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with an amazing team in a state-of-the-art facility at Woodland Dental Center, and it is my goal to provide the highest quality oral healthcare to all of my patients based on their individual needs.
A healthy smile can go a long way, and it is very rewarding to make a difference in someones life through their oral health. I take great pride in my work and always strive to treat each patient with the same level of respect and compassion that I would give to my own friends and family. I realize that the dental chair isnt most peoples favorite place to be, but it is my goal to make each visit as painless and comfortable as possible.
In the fast-paced and ever-evolving field of dentistry, I believe it is extremely important to stay current on the most accurate and up-to-date research and technology. Having studied in a high-tech dental program with some of the most modern equipment available, I feel very confident that my skills and techniques along with the technology and materials utilized at Woodland Dental Center give our patients access to some of the best, cutting edge, high quality dental care in the country.
I was born and raised in Chewelah, a small town in northeastern Washington, and moved to Puyallup after finishing dental school in Arizona. My wife, Jenny, is my high school sweetheart. We welcomed our first child, Audrey Belle, in March 2016, followed by our second girl, Emma Jane, in November 2017. We also have two very entertaining cats, Rajah and Luna. Outside of dentistry, Ive always enjoyed sports; especially football, which I played in college. I still enjoy playing sports whenever possible, including basketball, golf, softball, flag football, and soccer, and have coached many youth sports teams over the years. In our spare time, Jenny and I can be found hiking, camping, fishing, or cheering on our favorite sports teams like the Seahawks and Mariners.
My family moved from Poland to the Pacific Northwest where I was born and raised. I attended the University of Washington where I studied Public Health, and then completed a Masters in Biomedical Sciences at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, where I also received my Dental Degree. Although it was nice to enjoy the warm winters in Arizona, I was very eager to return to the PNW to practice dentistry.
Outside of the office, my husband and I enjoy all things related to food. Whether it is cooking it, trying new combinations of it, or using it as an excuse to gather family and friends together, count us in! I am always open to new food recommendations, so if you come see me please share the meals or restaurants that make your stomach happy.
