Dr. Brust thinks he has the best job in the worldhe loves being an orthodontist! Hes a specialist in the field of orthodontics and received his dental degree from the University of Minnesota and his specialty/masters degree from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Brust was awarded the 1993 Milo Hellman Award, which is given for the top orthodontic research project in the nation. He is a current member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Washtenaw District Dental Society, Michigan Dental Association, and the Michigan Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Bradmet his wife Clare playing soccer together at the age of seven. She works as a nurse at Karmanos Cancer Center. They have a son, Christopher, and two daughters, Hannah and Charlotte. Dr. Brad is an avid sports fan: he roots for all of the local teams since he was both a Spartan and a Wolverine! He also enjoys doing anything active, such as running, golf, and tennis.
After graduating from Saline High School in 2008, she attended University of Michigan where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Khatib earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.Upon graduating, she attended Indiana University where she completed her orthodontic residency and obtained her Master of Science in Dentistry.
Growing up, Dr. Khatib was very active with the sports community, participating in basketball, tennis, and golf throughout her years at Saline High School. Now, she enjoys being outside, water sports on the lake, and cheering on the Wolverines (Go Blue)!

SBK is wonderful! I relocated while still completing Invisalign and was concerned about how I would be able to complete the process. Thankfully, they were able to take good care of me amidst the transition (above and beyond my expectations). Additionally, everyone is so kind. There is definitely a welcoming and fun environment. Katherine took wonderful care of me during the intake process, Nancy is a gem, and Dr. Burst is both hilarious and great at what he does.

Excellent Dr's and staff! My oldest saw Dr. Brust and now my littles see Dr. Steiper. So friendly and personable. My nervous kids left feeling happy and reassured. Absolute recommend!

Our daughter has been treated here for years. Generally, people have been pleasant to deal with. They have made accommodations for our daughter per our request, as she is neurodivergent and adjustments to her care (eg. private room) help make for a better experience. I will say that we are a queer family and they have a lot of work to do when it comes to the use of proper pronouns and gendered language in all communication. During much of, if not all of, their communication; including speaking with us on the phone, or engagement in the clinical setting was abysmally gendered despite constant reminders. In an attempt to try, they would ask " what are your daughters 'preferred' pronouns again?" The use of 'preferred' in regard to pronouns is outdated and frowned upon, which we have told them. Moreover, families do not always present with a traditional Mom and Dad. In our experience, this clinical practice is ill prepared for anything outside of that binary. There are clinical settings doing an amazing job with this like Liberty Pediatrics and Tree Town Pediatric Dentistry, so it is possible to get this right, you just have to care enough to do it. Aside from the offices not being LGBTQ+ friendly places; billing and communication around billing was often arduous and unclear. Because of this, many phones calls had to be made to address mistakes in our billing. Further, due to the fact that I had difficulty getting a hold of the person responsible for billing, I was forced to leave messages which only complicated the issue further due to inaccurate recording of the messages left. It took over a month to get the situation resolved, which is aggravating at best. End of the day, my kiddos teeth look great, I simply wish we didn't dread going to the office like we all do. Some changes in the the way they operate would take this place from okay to great. I asked my kiddo what she had to say about her own experience and this is what she said "I really hate going to that place but there are a few good people that worked with me. Dr. Brad is super nice, patient and gentle. I always hoped I would get him and always ask for him. He's the best person in that place. The lady that worked with me was really nice too. They definitely do not get gender right, which, it's 2022, come on!, I wish they would fix that and learn how to treat queer people the same way they do everyone else."

dr brust was AMAZING!!!as was his wonderful helper, dre , in fixing my smile which thanks to them is BEAUTIFUL now. I am not able to smile happily with confidence, and it was truely a breeze with these people helping. thank you all so much for fixing my teeth and making my have the BEST SMILE EVER

Not sure if telephone operator knows how to handle the call. She disconnected the call in between. After that I called several times. Whenever I call for making appointment, it is going to voice message and then drops. It looks like they don't need patient any more.

SBK Orthodontics must be the finest practice in SE Michigan if not the whole state. Both of my children and I have had braces or Invisalign through SBK and the experience has been great. The office is friendly and Kesha always remembers my name and makes me feel as though we are old friends.
