Dr. Steven Tam is an experience dentist who has been working in Elmhurst, Queens for over 30 years. We provide individualized, gentle, dental treatment for all ages. We offer treatment for most dental procedures, including no-show fillings, implants, dentures, crowns, bridges, root canals, cosmetic dentistry, bleaching and more
We moved into our new office in 2012. We are excited to be able to provide you with the same comfortable,high quality care youve come to expect from us in a new, expanded facility. Our state-of-the-art office is handicap accessible and equipped with thelatest advancement in dental technology. You can enjoy a heated massage while we attend to your dental needs. Our office has five comfortable treatment rooms and a spacious waiting area with free Wi-Fi.
Dr. Steven Tam received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania of Dental Medicine in 1989. He was also a member ofPenn Dental Medicines Eta Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the National Dental Honor Society.Dr. Tam successfully completed his Hospital General Practice Residency at the Department of Dental Medicine at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Flushing, NY.
Dr. Tam is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and Queens County Dental Society. He attends monthly continuing education courses, lectures, and conventions to stay current with the latest advances in dentistry.Dr. Tams dedication and compassion for his patients is evident as he has built his practice primarily from patient referrals.
Dr. Kate Lau graduated from St. Johns University with a Bachelor of Science in Toxicology and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the School of Dentistry at the University of Louisville. Upon graduation, Dr. Lau completed her Hospital General Practice Residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Lau is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and Queens County Dental Society. She is committed to provide high quality care to all her patients by staying current with the latest advances in dentistry through continuing education courses and seminars.

Dr. Tam and his staff are genuine angels on earth. As someone who has trauma from dental work being done horribly and a history of anxiety, they made me feel safe and welcomed. I am very vulnerable to cavities no matter what I do to prevent them and Dr. Tam is probably the only dentist to ever not shame me about it. Him and his staff took my concerns and fears seriously, they never once made me feel bad about my anxiety. They took their time filling in one of my troubling cavities with minimal pain. It's always a great sign when a dentist and his staff are compassionate about their patient's worries, makes me feel seen as a human rather than just another patient to them. Also another massive green flag is how welcoming their office feels, it doesn't feel or look like the traditional dentist office in Queens. They're so clean and spacious, it takes a lot of the stress off of my mind while I'm waiting. Thank you Dr. Tam and staff

Dr. Tham is very kind n honest, before I have upper br. Teeth. Cracked, he gave me opinion so I change my mind to get back use denture.the denture look so natural.finally I get Dr. Tham is the best best dentist ever.

Got a root canal on short notice--doctor Tam was so accommodating and made the experience so much more comfortable than it should have been. You can't go wrong!

My family has been seeing Dr. Tam for years. Dr. Tam and his staff are always cheerful and pleasant. You can see that they are keeping themselves and patients safe with air filters, misting, sanitizing, etc. There is never a long wait. They always fit us in for emergencies.

Dr Tam is the best dentist in town. He's very thorough, doesn't do shortcuts. Overall staff service is excellent, warm, courteous and on point as regards to reminders. His office is clean and equipment is modern/updated. Keep it up!

So glad I found this dentist!!! The office looks very clean and organized, and seems to be updated with the newest equipment. Everyone is very friendly and takes their time, and best of all my checkup and cleaning was very thorough. The dentist I used to go to would rush through and the dental hygienist would just polish my teeth and be done in 10 minutes. My teeth felt cleaner from just my own daily oral care. But this dentist performs a proper check and thorough cleaning, and I'm pretty sure they also used lukewarm water in that water jet cleaning thing so my sensitive teeth barely felt a thing! Thank you, Dr Tam and staff!

Dr. Tam is by far the best dentist I've had. He would really take the time answer any questions and explain things. His staff is also very nice. Lastly his office is clean. I've only been to this new office and I think he's had this new place for maybe 3 years. The place has been kept the same way... clean and fresh.
