Dr. Takamatsu is a true local - born and raised in the Inland Empire. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Irvine, and later graduated from the highly respected Doctor of Dental Surgery Program at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), one of the top dental schools in the United States. His leadership skills were exemplified by serving as president of UCSFs Student Association and as president of the Delta Sigma Delta fraternity. After obtaining his dental degree, it was only natural for him to return home and open a practice where he could serve the community that has given him so much.
Utilizing special skills and techniques acquired over the years, Dr. Takamatsu has focused his practice on treating families and making family dentistry his specialty. He remains at the forefront of the dental industry by continually pursuing advanced education and training by attending annual dental conventions and seminars. His commitment to learning new and improved techniques and technologies, along with his easy-going chairside manner, makes Dr. Takamatsu a highly sought after dentist.
It is one of Dr. Takamatsus top priorities to stay connected and involved with the local community. He currently lives and works in the Inland Empire and regularly attends events for the City of La Verne and surrounding areas. Since 2007, he has visited all of the elementary schools in the Bonita Unified School District to assist Kindergarten students with dental screenings as required by the State of California. His clinic has been nominated for Business of the Year by the City of La Verne, and Dr. Takamatsu has also served as a community judge in the Miss La Verne Pageant.
Happily married and blessed with many fur kids, Dr. Takamatsu spends his personal time gardening and attending dog shows with his wife and fur family. You may spot him around town at a local eatery celebrating a dog's birthday.

Love Dr. Takamatsu, but may have to find someone else because it's impossible to reschedule an appointment for a cleaning. I try not to have to reschedule, but sometimes emergencies come, especially with our current "new normal" pandemic life. I had to reschedule an appointment in December. I asked to be on the list if ever there was a cancelation. I never received a call and now I had to reschedule in August, almost a year later, a year and a half since my last cleaning! So sad that I might have to find a new dentist.

I have been coming here for years and highly recommend Dr Takamatsu. The girls working there are very kind and friendly. They are very prompt checking me in and I don't have to wait to see the Dr. He is nice and puts you at ease with his funny personality. He is very good at his job.

Dr. Takamatsu has been our family dentist for most if my life. During my first cavity filling before providing me my first novacaine shot, he patiently answered all of my many questions....over and over again... Until he realized I was just stalling. He has a huge heart, along with skill hands. Everything you're looking for from a dentist.

I had been searching for a new dentist office for a while and I finally found the one! Such a great experience. Professional every step of the way. Doctor, dental assistant and dental hygienist were all very thorough and I never felt rushed and Judy at the front desk was so nice and went above and beyond to accommodate my scheduling issues. Great team in that office!

I have happily been a patient of Dr. Takamatsu for over a decade. Highly professional, only recommends major work when truly necessary and takes into account each patient's each unique situation when performing any procedure. He is aware that I need more than the usual amount of novacaine for a patient my age and weight. I feel much more at ease under his care as he does not want me to experience any pain, nor do I want to feel it. I can relax more when in his chair, as opposed to any other dentist I've had previously. As long as I Iive in S. California, both my wife and I will only see Dr. Takamatsu for all our dental needs. You can't go wrong under his care.

All members of Dr. Takanatsu's team are friendly, courteous, professional and caring! The facility is extremely clean and sanitized. I always feel taken care of whatever service I recieve, from a cleaning to more extreme dental work. They always take the best care of their patients!
