Dr. Rattner is the first general dental practitioner in the state of Maryland to achieve Premier Invisalign status. He was awarded a fellowship in implant dentistry from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in April 2009, and he is currently a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Maimonides Dental Society, the Southern Maryland Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. In addition, Dr. Rattner is a clinical instructor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry Department of Advanced General Dentistry. He strives to provide each patient with high-quality dental care in the comfort and caring atmosphere of his dental office.
Dr. Rattner resides in Montgomery County with his wife, Tracey, who also works in the office. They have been married since 1982 and have two beautiful, grown-up daughters and a wonderful son-in-law. When he is not working, Dr. Rattner enjoys playing tennis, traveling, skiing, and playing with his beloved Schnoodle dog, Zoe.
Dr. Andrew Donald grew up in Frederick, Maryland, and received his bachelors degree in biomedical sciences from Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York. Following his college graduation, he worked at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), part of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, as a post-baccalaureate fellow doing research on the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and osteoarthritis. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in May of 2018 with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
Good communication is very important to him, as it helps to develop caring relationship with his patients while providing high quality dental care. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Southern Maryland Dental Society (SMDS).
Dr. Servais grew up in Newton, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. She graduated from George Washington University, summa cum laude, with a degree in psychology, and top of her class at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she also acted as a teaching assistant.
Throughout dental school, Dr. Servais served on the executive board of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity student chapter. She was also a volunteer for Bridge Over Troubled Waters and an extern at the Dimmock Community Health Center, where she provided dental care to underserved communities in the Boston area. Continuing education and dental outreach service remain priorities for her. Dr. Servais completed a general practice residency at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she had the opportunity to serve our nations veterans while refining her skills in specialty areas.
Dr. Servais is currently an active member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, as well as the Academy of General Dentistry. She is fully licensed to practice in the state of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Keila joined our dental team in October 2012. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Montgomery College and a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She is certified to administer local anesthesia and is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and the Hispanic Dental Association. Keila enjoys benefiting from the experience of several dentists who are on the cutting edge of dental technology. She also loves being part of a clinic with a special community outreach to deaf and hard of hearing community. and being with a helpful and fun-loving team who care deeply about their patients. Keila brings knowledge of various dental settings, as well as a fresh educational curriculum and refreshing personality.

I had my first visit with Dr. Donald today and was very satisfied with the service. The staff as well as the Dr. Donald are wonderful! Dr. Donald and his assistant ( I missed her name) was very patient and careful with me. I was able to address my dental issues and provide the care needed. I definitely recommend their services!!!! I'm pretty sure that I'll be returning to the office for further treatments!!!

Great job dentist and good prices less. I give them 5 stars and there is Andrew Donald is deaf dentist doctor is great explaining, good communication for the deaf. This is my first time to be there Jan 27 2022. My old one Maryland dental Centers is really bad communication and they are hearings but they do good job 3 1/2 stars. Thank you, Steven L Rattner & Assoc keep the good job.

First let me say that everyone in the office is very friendly and professional. It's nice to be able to go into an office and not have to use an interpreter. Everyone knows at least some level of sign that I can communicate with them directly. I found this office at a Deafopia event and immediately switched dentists. I see Dr. Donald at this office. He is always very thorough. He explains very clearly what needs to be done, provides options, and explains as he goes along doing the work. I really enjoy my visits. Who can say that about going to the dentist? Lol

When they fixed my crown they detected a cavity. They were able to get me an appointment quickly and fixed the cavity with the same professionalism and courtesy.

I have been a patient of Dr. Steven Rattner for over 20 years. Dr. Rattner has always been a caring, thorough, and knowledgeable dentist with tremendous experience in his field from traditional dentistry to prosthodontics. He will spend a great deal of time answering my questions and explaining insurance concerns, always trying to defend to my insurance company the need for a particular procedure. His office's other dentists, hygienists, and office staff are likewise caring and thorough and knowledgeable, and consistently helpful to me. I would highly recommend Dr. Rattner's dental offices, both in conveniently accessible College Park and Gaithersburg, Maryland.

I have been using STEPHEN RATTNER's Dental Office for the last 7 years. The practice primarily serves the handicapped and hearing impaired. Those of us who are not handicapped can also get services from this dental practice. Here is a run down of the good, the bad, and the '***' regarding this dental practice. They practice state of the art dental medicine and seem to be very hygienic and responsible in their practices. Dr. Rattner himself is great and his staff also keeps up with emerging dental science practices. There is a concern that Dr. Rattner is training his staff to upsell so that they can be performing more services and keep the business thriving. Even when certain procedures are not required to be done, sometimes it seems like some of the dentists working there, are requesting procedures that may not be necessary. When my 5 year old daughter was taken there a few years ago, for a regular cleaning, the Junior Dentist gave her a list of $5000 in procedures to be performed. We decided to not do those things and the girl is doing well and 18 years old now. In my own personal experience, I went in with a tooth pain, and instead of being told to pull out the tooth for $89, I was recommended all sorts of options (like crowns, bridges) etc for about $10,000. Also, when my elderly mother, who has no dental insurance, went to Dr. Rattners office for her many dental problems, she came back bitten by very expensive bills; something she had to pay but could not afford. So, in general, expect expensive bills if you do not have insurance. Also, you can count on them asking you to do the more expensive procedure when doing something minimal would have sufficed. Another concern that we have had is the heavy turnover of front desk staff. Because of this, in some cases, the dental hygienists have to step in and take over front desk duties. But overall, I would say that I like Stephen Rattner is a good dentist. Apart from the College Park location that I go to, Dr. Rattner also has another practice in Gaithersburg MD, closer to where he lives in Potomac MD. He is a good man and runs a good practice there. I have taken a large part of my family to Dr Rattners practice. I would say that I would not have stayed all of these years, if the practice was terrible. I will give them a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
