Dr. Starr received his dental degree at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, training under some of the finest and most well-respected clinicians in dentistry. Before specializing in endodontics, he practiced in Northern California as a general dentist for four years, giving him a unique and thorough understanding of the restorative process in treatment planning.
Dr. Starr completed a two-year full-time residency in Advanced Graduate Studies in Endodontics at USC. He returned to his native Utah and established a private practice in Saint George in 1994. He is Southern Utah's only Board Certified Endodontist (Root Canal Specialist).
Dr. Starr is a member of the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, the California Dental Association and 'Specialist Member' of the American Association of Endodontists. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Starr has been a featured speaker at the American Association of Endodontists Annual Conference as well as other state and local-level dental society meetings. He has also served as President of the Southern Utah Dental Society, and as a delegate to the Utah Dental Association.
Dr. Starr is passionate about endodontics, staying current on scientific literature and proven clinical techniques. He is a perfectionist in his work and always puts his patients' health and best interest first and foremost.

I went to Dr. Starr after a previous failed attempt at a root canal by another doctor. I was referred to Doctor Starr by a well known Endodontist up north who said you will never get better than Dr. Starr in and around the St. George area. He was right! I had the best experience with Dr. Starr. I was comfortable the whole time and he made sure everything went perfectly. I can't give him enough praise and respect. Thank you!

A visit for most any dental procedure is usually not something that would be thought of as pleasant. That said, my experience with Dr. Starr and his staff was nothing but positive. They bring their "A Game" to every aspect of the situation (equipment, competence, pleasantness and office surroundings). I can't imagine how I could have been more pleasantly impacted by the encounter.

Dr Starr was great. This is the only doctor I will go to for a root canal. He is professional and very thorough. You can tell he takes pride in doing the best job possible. I can't speak highly enough. His staff is also very friendly.

Had a root canal done last week and they were amazing. From Mereta at the front desk to the girl assisting and Dr Starr, they all were so kind . Dr Starr showed us pictures and explained everything. There was no pain, no stress and the fun thing was the eagle he shows us out side in the tree by the river!!! Thanks to all!!!

I am a retired dental assistant. I had a Root canal by Dr Starr yesterday, and I can't tell you how amazing my experience was. The staff and Doctor are extremely respectful to each other and they are probably the most talented team I have met. They are extremely knowledgeable and have the latest and greatest tools of the trade. You can be absolutely sure you are receiving the best care available when you go to this office. They have my highest respect and recommendation!

Dr Starr and his staff were awesome! He took the time to explain to me what was need, & how long it would take. The office called to see how I was feeling the following day. I had a really bad experience with another dentist, and Dr. Starr was patient and took care in not allowing me to get freak out! I have already reffed others to him! Thanks Renee G-C

AMAZING! I don't have enough good things to say about this office. The front desk was awesome with working with me and trying to squeeze me in since I was in pain. Dr Starr is incredibly nice and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole procedure. Highly recommend!!

Root canal ninja! I have horrible teeth and have had several root canals throughout my life, and this was among the best. The office is modern and quiet. The employees are delightful. And Dr. Starr is a rockstarr!! Can't recommend enough.

I had a really good experience. Dr Starr was very gentle and thorough. He cared about my comfort. His nurse gave me lip balm to make sure my mouth didn't dry out and hurt. Dr Starr cushioned around my mouth so it would be more comfortable for me as he worked on my tooth. He asked me several times how I was doing. He seems to be a perfectionist. He was concerned that he got my tooth perfectly fixed. His staff is also excellent. I was extremely happy with the outcome!
