Dr. Steven Damelio was born and raised in the Rochester area. After attending Webster Schroeder High School, he graduated from the University of Rochester in 1983 with a B.A in Biology. While at the U of R, he was active in the school community, joining the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and serving as president in his senior year.
Following his undergraduate career, Dr. Damelio was accepted into the dental program at Boston's Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. As part of his formal education, he participated in a five-week dental residency at Concord State Hospital in New Hampshire and New England Medical Center in Boston. After graduating in 1987, he began working with Dr. John Storella of Boston. In 1990 Dr. Damelio returned to Rochester and joined the practice of Dr. Matthew Mauro in Penfield and taking over the practice one year later.
Dr. Damelio is very active in the Rochester area dental community. He is a past president of the Monroe County and the Seventh District Dental Societies, chaired the New York Dental Society's Peer Review and Quality Assurance Committee, and is currently a delegate to the New York State Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Damelio is also a member of New York's Dental Lifeline committee, which addresses the dental needs of New York's underserved adult population. Dr. Damelio also places a strong emphasis on continuing education for himself and his staff. In addition to taking Continuing Education courses throughout the year, he is an active member of the Southeast Periodontal and Apollonian Dental Study Groups.
Outside the world of dentistry, the office contributes to a children's charity every year by donating new, unwrapped toys to the Boys and Girl's Club of Rochester. When not at the office, Dr. Damelio can be found with his wife and three sons. Matthew, Jacob and Michael, coaching one of his son's sports teams, golfing, or working on his Penfield home
Marjorie graduated from the Wayne Finger Lakes Boces Dental Assistant Program. In 2007 she earned both her DANB National Certification and Dental Assistant Certification. In 2008, Marjorie became a licensed CDA instructor in NYS and has experience working in general, pediatric, and clinical dentistry. Her smile and positive attitude, along with her experience, is an asset to our office.
Marjorie has eighteen year old twins, Jizzelle and Jinnelle, who attend Monroe Community College. She also has a five year old son, Casty and a newborn baby born November 8th, 2017 named Aizik, pronounced (Isaac). When not at our office, Marjorie is a Rochester Jewels G.I.R.L.S. mentor and is very active in her community.
When you walk into the office, Holly is one of the first people you see. She has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Fredonia State University, five years in hotel experience, and eighteen+ years of experience working with Dr. Damelio. Holly works hard every day to ensure your dental experience exceeds your expectations. She also is your contact for billing and insurance issues.
Cally graduated from Brockport State with a bachelors degree in English before completing her dental hygiene degree at Monroe Community College. She enjoys getting to personally know her patients and provide each one with individualized care.

This facility is always very clean and welcoming. The dental assistants and dentist are amazing. They take the time to explain everything and really seem to care about what they do. I take my two children here and would definitely recommend them to anyone that has children.

The office staff are professional and friendly. My hygienist Kelly is also wonderful. Finally, Dr Damelio is thoughtful, patient and thorough. I've been going here for 10 years and the care is exceptional!

My first visit for cleaning and assessment. I was going to the same dentist for 40 years and he retired. Cleaning was very efficient and painless with Kaylee. Steve came in after to review xrays and determined 2 fillings need to be replaced and a small chip needs to be fixed. I am going back to have all the work done at once. I only had to wait like 5 minutes. It was an overall good experience with great efficiency.

They were very pleasant and welcoming and the hygienist was very gentle and thorough and made you feel very calm and relaxed! And Dr. Damelio also took care of my sensitivity to my molar by suggesting a fluoride treatment and it was successful and also suggested I use my mouth guard to help with grinding my teeth! I was very grateful and I feel excellent today! Thank you to a wonderful staff and to Dr Steven Damelio! Lorraine Belanger!

I just got home, my 2 sons had their first visit here. It was my youngest first time EVER at the dentist. They were AMAZING!!! My 3 year old was scared at first but then immediately felt more comfortable. Kate cleaned and checked his teeth. My older boy also had a great experience. I will take them back for as long as the office will have us. Thank you again for the wonderful experience for us all!!!!!!

I have a 6 year old with Autism who has struggled at the dentist since his first visit at 1. When we moved from CA this office was recommended by another office when I explained his vehement refusal to sit in the chair and open his mouth at our previous office. That office had essentially thrown up their hands and said we would have to sedate him for any type of dental work. We've had great luck here and our son has been much more relaxed and cooperative the two times we've been in for check-ups. I don't expect miracles and I'm sure we would have to use anesthesia for any real dental work but I'm happy to keep coming back!

Dr. Damelio was very nice, knowledgeable, caring, and accommodating. I was going on vacation soon and he put a rush on a bite plate I ordered, to be sure I got it before I left (didn't ask him to) so I was pleasantly surprised. He spent time with me explaining my issues and I never felt rushed. Marjorie was a delight, and not only had a great personality and makes you feel comfortable, she is professional. The front office gals were great in getting me in very quickly for a new patient appointment due to my discomfort. They also offered me a next day cleaning appointment due to a cancellation, so they were also accommodating. I can't say anything negative about this office-they were great!! I just wish I could bring my children in!
