Savannah dentist, Dr. Berwitz spent countless hours in his fathers dental office as a child, where he was inspired to pursue a career in dentistry. After obtaining his Bachelors Degree in Biology from Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania, he completed a Masters Degree in Molecular Biology at Montclair State University in New Jersey. Next, Dr. Berwitz earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

During his training, Dr. Berwitz developed a deep interest in Prosthodontics andRestorative Dentistry. Following his graduation, he completed a General Practice Residency at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey. He became an attending dentist at Overlook Hospital, where he taught new residents and treatedspecial needs patients. Dr. Berwitz is proud to be on staff at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, where he continues his interest in hospital-based dentistry and working with special needs patients as well as being on the Head and Neck Cancer Team.

To stay current in the ever-changing profession of dentistry and to provide the highest quality of care to his patients, Dr. Berwitz continues to participate in continuing education courses. He has taken many courses in implant, general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Berwitz is a scholar with the prestigiousDawson Academy, where he currently participates and leads a Study Club. Dr. Berwitz has also received his Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry, an honor that only 6% of General Dentistshave acquired, and is currently working towardshis Masters with the Academy of General Dentistry.

Savannah dentist, Dr. Berwitz is a member of theAmerican Dental Association(ADA), a Fellow with theAcademy of General Dentistry(AGD),the American Association of Hospital Dentists (AAHD), Special Care Dentistry Association(SCDA),Academy for Sports Dentistry(ASD),International Academy of Dental Traumatology(IADT)Georgia Academy of Dental Practice and the Dawson Academy. Additionally, he has been recognized for his achievements with awards from the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators, the American Equilibration Society, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the New Jersey Dental School Student Leadership/Distinguished Service, and the New Jersey Academy of General Dentistry, among others.

Liza is originally from Savannah and graduated from Armstrong Atlantic University in 2009 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She comes from a family with 3 generations of dental field experience. Liza is dedicated to providing healthy smiles while creating a comfortable and relaxing patient experience. In her spare time, Liza enjoys boating with friends and family, as well as spending time with her husband John and their two dogs.

Karen is the newest part of our family. She was born in Mexico, but has lived in Savannah for over 10 years. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, which provides us with greater flexibility in communicating with our patients. Though she hasnt been with us long, Karen enjoys being a dental assistant and loves to help our patients maintain great oral health.

Angela has over 20 years of dental experience and is the first person you are likely to see or speak with in our office. As a former dental assistant, she has an incredible knowledge of dentistry and has the ability to explain treatments in detail to our patients. Angela will be happy to help with your insurance and financial concerns as well, so you can have the treatments you need in a manner that will fit your budget. In her off hours, Angela enjoys watching her sons play sports and spending time at the beach.

Anna earned her BA from the University of Massachusetts and her MSW from Syracuse University. She served 5 years as Senior Director of Patient and Family Services for the American Cancer Society, working as an Oncology patient navigator for 8 hospital systems. After relocating to Savannah, Anna took a position as Director of Development for the Jewish Educational Alliance and Administrative Director of the Camp Savannah Program. Anna is a graduate of the 2014/2015 Leadership Savannah class and an active member of the Chatham Commerce Club. Anna is a graduate of the 2014/2015 Leadership Savannah class, a past Board Member for the Matthew Reardon Center for Autism, and an active member of the Chatham Commerce Club.
