Dr. Fishbaine and his staff offer a wide range of dental services including cosmetic improvement and enhancement, comprehensive restorative dentistry, implants, removable dentures and partial dentures, childrens dentistry, root canal therapy, and many others. We are not a one size fits all practice. We believe that we cannot assess your needs until we examine you, talk to you, and get to know you. Our goal for you is optimal dental health. How we help you get there is what makes us unique.
Our state-of-the-art office is located at 476 Rolling Ridge Drive and is on the first floor of the Windmere Centre, a modern professional building in Scenery Park. This impressive building features easy access to our office from South Atherton Street or from Rolling Ridge Drive. Our current location features a comfortable spa-like reception area complete with a massage chair, a fruit and juice bar, and new magazines! Dr. Fishbaine received his BS in Biology from Bucknell University in 1979. He attended Temple University Dental School where he graduated in the top 5th of his class in 1983 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. A general practice residency in Dentistry followed at the Allentown and Lehigh Valley Hospitals. Dr. Fishbaine began practicing in State College in the summer of 1984 where he happily resides with his wife, Penni. They have two children, Josh, and Arielle, both Penn State graduates.
In 1993, Dr. Fishbaine received a Fellowship degree from the Academy of General Dentistry. He also participated in the Seattle Dental Societys Study Club from 2011-2015. Currently, Dr. Fishbaine is a member of the Spear Study Club for ongoing continuing education where he meets monthly with other dentists and dental specialists to collaborate on sophisticated dental treatment options for state of the art dentistry.
Penni Fishbaine is the Office Manager. She has worked in the office consistently for the last 15 years, and intermittently prior to that. She has been married to Steve (Dr. Fishbaine) for over 30 years, and they have two children, Josh and Arielle. Josh is married to Hailey and works in Media, PA for a supply-chain software company. Ari is a Registered Nurse at Geisinger Hospital in Danville. Penni enjoys playing Mahjong, reading (and discussing books over dinner with her book club), working out, vacations at the beach, and spending time with family.
Connie Jones is our Lead Assistant and is one of the original members of Dr. Fishbaines team. She is highly experienced, very knowledgeable, and has worked in dentistry for 31 years (most of her career has been spent side-by-side with Dr. Fishbaine). Connie received her dental assisting education at CPI and has participated in a myriad of continuing education programs. Connie is married to Dave, they have two sons, Tony and Brandon, and three beautiful granddaughters. Connie enjoys exercising, visiting her grandchildren, and she loves chocolate!
Amy Bowser is our Lead Hygienist and works full time in our office. She is amiable, conscientious, and has worked in dentistry for 20 years, and with Dr. Fishbaine for 15. She graduated from Median School in Pittsburgh for Dental Assisting in 1999, and in 2004 she earned an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Allegany College in Maryland. Amy is married to Jon, and they have a son, T.J. She enjoys snowshoeing, skiing, stand-up paddle boarding, and walking her dog.
Cristy Steward, a dynamic and upbeat Dental Hygienist, has worked for Dr. Fishbaine since 2000 after graduating from Allegany College of Maryland with an associate degree in Dental Hygiene. Cristy is married to Lars, and they have two children, Eli and Ingrid.
Shannon Norris joined our team in 2017 as a Dental Assistant with 17 years of experience and extensive continuing education. She is a cheerful and caring person who will make you feel comfortable immediately. Shannon has two children, Taylor (at Clemson University) and Aaron (at Penn College), and is marred to Charlie. She also has three step children, Jami, Kevin, and Matt.
Shelley Kovacic is a front office professional with 30 years of experience in healthcare. She is an alumni of University of Cincinnati with an Associate Degree in Applied Business and has worked at UPMC Lee Regional Hospital in Johnstown, PA, at a Neuro-diagnostic Lab in State College, and for an internal medicine physician. Her hobbies include cooking and needlework. Shelley is enjoying the transition from a healthcare office to a dental office setting and is looking forward to meeting all of our patients!
Debbie Dynan is a dedicated, professional and passionate Dental Hygienist. She graduated from Northampton Community College in 1991 with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. In 1995, she received a Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry. In addition to caring for patients, Deb was a Dental Pharmaceutical Sales Educator in California and Pennsylvania. Debbie is married to Stephen, and they have two teenagers, Sydney and Jacob. She enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking, and spending time with her family.

I was fortunate to have been referred here for some extensive cosmetic dentistry. I found Dr. Fishbaine and his team to be reliably focused on best practice in every regard, over a span of several months and varying conditions (such as time of day, day of week, etc.). I couldn't be happier with the results, and finished feeling that I had been expertly restored to my very best smile ever, in the hands of caring and trusted friends.

The office staff didn't return my calls. After almost a month, they have yet to tell me how much my insurance company will pay for what they want to do. I am in pain now, I think an infection has set in. I called and ask for a antibiotic . After many phone calls which they didn't return, I was told I had to see the Doctor and get a X-ray before they give a RX. If you don't even know I was there and had X-rays and had seen the Doctor, you will not get my business. You need to call people when you say you will!

Our family has been going to Dr. Fishbaine for 20 years. Going to his office seems like visiting family now; our children always looked forward to their dental appointments when they were growing up. Dr. Fishbaine and his staff are always professional but very kind and caring. They keep up with the latest research and technology. We feel confident that we are getting the very best care!

I recently did a ClearCorrect process to align my smile, and the entire experience was seamless and easy! Steve Rocks! The whole office does for that matter! I had a molar break/lost a large filling while visiting from the Northwest. Not cool. They got me in the very next day and totally fixed the massive crater in less than an hour! The whole process was awesome. Steve is really neat and keeps you comfortable and in the know all the time you are in the chair. Highly recommend!
