I grew up in Pullman, WA graduating from Pullman High School in 1975. While in High School I played basketball & baseball and earned the Eagle Scout Award. I attended Utah State University for one year prior to serving a 2 year Spanish-speaking mission (1976-1978) for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Philadelphia, PA area. I returned home to complete my BS degree in Zoology at WSU (1981). I graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1985. I then served as a dentist in the US Air Force from 1985-1991 receiving the Air Force Commendation Medal Twice (1988 & 1991) and the National Defense Service Medal (Dessert Storm-1991).
I have a beautiful wife Amalia (Molly) who is a breast cancer survivor. We have five terrific children (Stefany, Dustin, Kyle, Ryan, and Eric), and seven grandchildren. I love spending time with my wife and visiting our children and grandchildren. I enjoy watching sports, traveling, and researching family history. I have spent many years working with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) as a volunteer and Merit Badge Councilor. For a number of years I spent my summer vacation with my sons and their troop at Camp Grizzly and other Scout encampments helping them and other young men earn their Eagle Scout award.
I participate in continuing education courses for both academic and professional reasons. At these courses I am able to refresh my knowledge of topics relevant to the dental field, learn about new advances in treatment or material, obtain information concerning research, and interacting with colleagues.
It is an honor to be part of a profession that allows for such personal and one-on-one interactions with patients. Nothing is more fulfilling than helping someone achieve optimum oral health. Enhancing patient's self-confidence and self-esteem by creating healthy and aesthetic smiles is an extremely and satisfying reward.
I like helping my patients achieve the best possible dental health they can. Seeing a person take control of their smiles health is so rewarding! With lots of patient education, support, and encouragement, Dr. Larsen and our team really do improve lives.
I clean teeth, perform scaling and root planing, assess periodontal health, and administer anesthetic. While working with my patients, I talk with them about the connection between oral and overall health and how they can achieve healthy smiles and bodies. When a person comes for a recall visit and I can see he or she has made positive changes, I cant help but smile.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from Eastern Washington University and worked at family dental offices in Spokane for two years. As a new member of Dr. Larsens staff, I am looking forward to working on a team to help improve patients oral health. The best part of my job is getting to know our family of patients and helping them to feel as comfortable as possible.
My husband, Morgan, and I were married in August 2017. We have a Chihuahua named Opie. A native of western Washington, I love all things outdoors, such as hiking, biking, and camping. I have a passion for music and love being involved with local community theaters.
Molly comes to us from Pullman, Washington where she and her husband raised five children. They recently became empty nesters. Molly attended dental assisting classes in Spokane, Washington and is now a registered dental assistant.
