This is a great dental office. Kind, friendly, easygoing staff, convenient location, and Dr. Hinchey and my hygienist were both excellent. They took time to explain things to me and give me helpful tips that are easy to implement.

After 16 years of going to a well-known dentistry practice in Glastonbury, I decided to change due to a few unpleasant situations that arose at that practice. Dr. Steven Hinchey is very professional, even more friendly, and has "good hands" even with my sensitive gums. The staff is great! From the greeter to the cleaning technicians, everyone was extremely friendly. The practice has a very good vibe! Another plus: It's 5 minutes from my house. I can say with confidence: I found a new dentist whom I hope to see in the years to come. I highly recommend him.

I would highly endorse Dr. Hinchey who in addition to serving the local community is also quite knowledgeable on the latest treatments, technologies and advanced care options.

My wife took our daughters there for cleanings. Our older one (7 at the time) did fine but our younger one (3.5) didn't want to have her teeth cleaned because she felt scared (She had her teeth cleaned in MA and did fine at age 2!). The doctor isn't really warm and fuzzy, he yelled at her and after giving our older daughter a toothbrush told our younger daughter she wasn't getting one. My wife could tell that the dental hygienist didn't feel comfortable in this tense situation either. My wife tried to work with the dentist and our daughter during the examination but he was too rough and he had absolutely no patience!! So if you have a child who is older probably try them. I would not recommend this place for younger kids or kids who will not open their mouths, etc. I have heard from other Moms that they encountered similar situations.

I had a major tooth ache on Monday evening. He saw me first thing on Tuesday, which I appreciated. He determined that I may have had an infection, so he prescribed an anti-biotic. He recommended that I needed a root canal. I didn't hesitate because I trust Dr. Hinchey. The antibiotic helped but I still had a minor discomfort. I never had a root canal before. He made the whole process, a very positive experience. I felt no pain during the procedure, nor after. He shared with me everything he was about do. I walked out feeling 100 percent better. I highly recommend that you choose Dr. Hinchey as your new dentist.

Dr Hinchey always fits me in when I have a little emergency and is very gentle. I am a bit anxious and he explains what he sees and what to expect. I have been a patient for 30 years!

Seemed like a nice doctor. I went to see him for a second opinion due to some pain. ZERO procedures done. I was told by him (twice) and the front desk lady that his examination WILL be covered by insurance. A few months later I got a call saying I owe over $100 for 10 min in and out for him to just examine my mouth. Disappointed they weren't clear about coverage. P.S. The doctor that did actually figure out what the problem was DID work with my insurance as he claimed.

so grateful! i had pain/emergency. was seen in a couple days after calling and able to schedule me in for a cleaning the same day too. my second year at Dr. Hintchy's. im so relieved to finally find quality dental care that's affordable and holistic a cleaning is scheduled on valentine's day 2023 back to back for my boyfriend and i. it's a 3 hr drive and we're happy to take the road trip and make a romantic day out of it! i was really happy to bring the news to my boyfriend that his new dentist is also a veteran. (that really helps me get him to see a doctor! LoL)

Once again I had a fine time at the dentist. My hygienist is so fit and trim... Dot five weeks before delivering her third child! She's the epitome of good health and eating well! We shared stories about food and my trip while she expertly cleaned my teeth. Dr Hinchey came in to evaluate my teeth and said I was status quo... Can't ask for a better evaluation!
