Born in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Yang moved to Salisbury, NC at age 7. He graduated from East Rowan High School. He and his wife, Lori, have six children: John , Alex , Ellen, Ashley, and the newest additions, Luke and Aaron (adopted from China).

In November 2001, their other son, Michael, passed away, which led the family to start the Michael Yang Foundation. The foundations primary objective is to support the Circle of Hope, a bereavement service for parents who have lost children.

The Yangs attend St. Johns Lutheran Church in Salisbury. In his spare time, Dr. Yang enjoys golf, travel, UNC sports, spending time with his family and coaching youth sports. Recently, Dr.Yang was the manager of the Rowan Little League softball team that won the 2015 Softball Little League World Series and was the runner up in the 2016 Softball Little League World Series, both held in Portland, Oregon.

Stephanie received her associates degree and dental assisting diploma from RCCC in 2013. She has been with the practice since 2015. She is a native of California and has lived in NC since 2007. She currently lives in China Grove, NC with her husband, Nathan, and daughter, Gemma. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with family and gardening.

Sonya is a 1990 graduate from UNC with a bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene. For the past 19 years, she has been a part of Yang Family Dentistry. Sonya enjoys spending much of her free time at the beach with her husband and daughter.

Angie has been practicing Dental Hygiene for 27 years, with the last 15 being with Dr Yang. Originally from the Chicago area, she attended and graduated for Southern Illinois University, with an Associate Degree in Applied Science Dental Hygiene. Angie and her husband along with their 3 sons moved to Salisbury in March of 2002 due to a transfer with her husbands career. She enjoys being outdoors, gardening and camping with her family. The most rewarding part of her career has been the patients she has met and the friendships she has made along the way.

Kyndal has been a DA II since 2012 and is the newest member of the Yang Klan joining in September of 2018. Kyndal loves to make people laugh and feel as comfortable as possible in the dental chair. Shes been happily married since 2010 with 2 children. Her passion is loving and spending time with her animals and family on her mini farm.

Summer has been a dental assistant for over 20 years, she graduated from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in 2000. She enjoys getting to know our patients and making sure they have a pleasant experience.

She has been happily married since 2001 and has two teenage daughters that keep her very busy. A new puppy named Berkley that is spoiled rotten. Summer enjoys camping, yard work, watching her daughters play volleyball and spending time with her family.

Shelly Galloway has been a certified dental assistant since 1985 and she has worked as a dental office manager since 1996. Shelly and her husband, Mike, enjoy spending time with family and they enjoy camping and fishing at the North Carolina coast.
